After the #OscarsSoWhite controversy sparked major change within the Academy, Oscars celebrated a major breakthrough for diversity as the predominantly Black film "Moonlight" picked up the Best Picture award.
Thought the win represented progress for African American filmmakers and actors, the Oscars still have a ways to go in recognizing Asians and Twitter was sure to vocalize those hard truths on Sunday.
"Lion" star Dev Patel was the only Asian nominated for an Academy Award in an acting category.
Despite a graceful loss to Mahershala Ali for his role in "Moonlight," Patel made his costars, fellow actors and his mom (who doubled as his date) proud as hell for his best supporting actor nomination.

And although Jackie Chan was recognized as a Lifetime Achievement Award honoree, Asian Twitter still felt justifiably under-represented.
