Josh Henderson almost ditched acting for baseball.
“The Arrangement” star told Steve Harvey his first dream was to be a Major League baseball player, but he opted to follow dream No. 2 – rock the entertainment world. Henderson even decline the baseball scholarship he was offered for college.
“That’s what I was gonna do. That’s kinda all I knew,” Henderson said during appearance on Wednesday's "Steve Harvey Show."
“I stayed in school. I was gonna go to college and play ball and got a full ride to do that whole thing, and then I got this random message saying, ‘Do you want to audition for this show called Pop Stars?’”
“Somehow, I beat out 80 thousand kids for a record deal and a TV show,” he said.
Harvey then asked Henderson how he keeps himself in such great shape, which was accompanied by a collective howl from a predominantly female audience.
“I played sports growing up, so I think I had a decent foundation of being active,” he said. “And I live in L.A., so I try to drink green juices and hit the canyons.”
Of his E! series "The Arrangement," Henderson said: "it's a love story at its core."
"There's speculation that this series is based on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Any merit to that?" Harvey asked.
Henderson responded quickly and confidently: "No."
"The Arrangement" airs Sundays on E!
