In a song reminiscent of something late music legend David Bowie would put out, Harry Styles dropped his first solo single, "Sign of the Times," early Friday morning.

With lyrics like, "Just stop your crying, it's a sign of the times/ Welcome to the final show/ I hope you're wearing your best clothes/ You can't bribe the door on your way to the sky/ You look pretty good down here/ But you ain't really good," UK's The Guardian compared the debut single to "David Bowie meets Queen."

Styles was recently spotted hanging from a helicopter in what was reported by The Sun to be for the "Sign of the Times'" video shoot.

The former "One Direction" bandmate will perform on Apr. 15th's "Saturday Night Live," so it's likely that we'll hear a second song in addition to "Sign of the Times."
