Now that it's been announced Kerry Washington's ABC series "Scandal" will conclude after this upcoming seventh and final season, the actress is wasting no time lining up post-Shondaland projects. And this one is a goodie.
Washington will team up with Eva Longoria -- of "Desperate Housewives" fame and most recently a stint on Fox's "Empire" -- for Universal's "24/7" film, which is being described as a "workplace comedy."
Deadline Hollywood reports that Universal has acquired the pitch by Baltimore-based screenwriter Sarah Rothschild. The actresses will jointly produce the project throught Longoria's UnbeliEVAble Entertainment banner and Washington through her Simpson Street banner.
No word on when the movie is expected to shoot or be released.
