Samantha Bee believes White House newcomer Anthony Scaramucci is influencing Donald Trump to "spread his personal truths" to the world in this week's “bad shit telenovela that is our government.”
And one of those truths, unfortunately, is that Trump doesn't trust or respect transgender people, since he took to Twitter Wednesday morning to ban them from serving in the military in any capacity.
"Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail,” Trump tweeted. “Thank you.”

Bee has seen noticeable differences in Trump's persona since Scaramucci was hired as communications director. First, the president made a rambling, politically charged speech to 40,000 boy scouts at the 2017 National Scout Jamboree on Monday, then announced the trans military ban completely out of the blue.
“Firing thousands of active duty service members in the middle of the big push against ISIS was Trump's version of 'don't ask, don't tell,'” Bee said. “He didn't ask anyone if it was a good idea and he didn't tell anyone he was going to do it, but that is how we roll now."
