President Donald Trump's chief strategist Steve Bannon is officially out of the White House.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed the news in a statement Friday: "White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve's last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best."
Sanders did not say whether Bannon was fired or resigned, but according to media reports, Trump has had a strained relationship with Bannon for some time.

View StoryAs recently as Thursday night, Trump took issue with Bannon after he was quoted in The American Prospect contradicting POTUS on the North Korea front, claiming he was able to make personnel changes at the State Department.
