Stars Who Have Battled Breast Cancer

"We love this woman," writes "Veep" co-star Tony Hale.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' celebrity friends and fans are speaking out in support of the "Veep" star after her breast cancer announcement on Thursday.

The actress revealed her diagnosis on Instagram earlier today, using her announcement as a call to action regarding universal health care.

"1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one," she wrote. "The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality."

After breaking the news online, Hollywood showed their love and support for the star.

Kathy Griffin also posted a passionate series of tweets criticizing "deplorables" who may speak out against Louis-Dreyfus for using her announcement to also rally support for universal health care.
