"It's Ryan," Gosling tells his iconic co-star.
The original "Blade Runner" star struggled to name Gosling, who was sitting right next to him, on "The Graham Norton Show" Friday night while promoting their new movie.
"They finally came up with a good story. And as I read it, I read about the character, that umm -- Ry, Ryan?" Harrison asked his co-star.
"It's Ryan," Gosling said in response.
As Ford tried to recover himself and continue his story, he got caught in the same trap again not only forgetting the actor's first and last name, but also thinking Gosling said "Rosling."
Moments later Ford finally remembered Gosling's name, but checked back to confirm he had it right.
"Ryan, um Ryan, Ryan Gosling," Ford said.
"Blade Runner 2049" is set 30 years after Ridley Scott's original, which starred Ford as a detective hunting down androids for the LAPD. The science fiction sequel, which is already getting rave reviews, his theaters on Oct. 6.
