Harry Styles stepped up to host "The Late Late Show" while James Corden was busy tending to the birth of his third child, but that's not the story Styles gave when he took over the CBS stage Tuesday night.
"You may be wondering why I'm hosting tonight," the singer began his opening monologue. "And yes, you are right. Donald Trump finally got sick of James' jokes and deported him back to England."

View StoryStyles was kidding, of course, but not when it came to delivering one helluva show.
The singer informed the crowd that Corden and his wife, Julia Carey, had just welcomed "a beautiful baby girl."
"In fact, I was just at the hospital before I came to fill in, and she looks a lot like James," he said. "Mainly because James looks like a giant baby."
Then Styles dove straight into politics, focusing specifically on controversial Republican candidate Roy Moore, who rode his horse to the polls to vote for himself in the Alabama Senate race Tuesday morning.
"I don't know much about hoofed animals, but I'm pretty sure that's an ass," Styles said, eliciting cheers from the audience. "Thank you. Thank you. I made that one up myself! I didn't. Moving on!"
Styles then took a jab at Trump after POTUS announced Monday that he's planning on sending astronauts back to the moon for the first time in 45 years.
"The president was very startled when suggesting this when Melania raised her hand and yelled, 'I'll go!'" he joked.
The former One Directioner also addressed the kiss he and Corden shared on Monday's Carpool Karaoke, announcing that they, too, are expecting a baby.
