Brielle Biermann Clarifies Plans to Leave Kim Zolciak's Nest and Dishes on 'Housewives' Future

When TooFab spoke with Kim Zolciak's oldest daughter ahead of Friday's Season 6 finale, she explained that she and Michael Kopech -- who pitches for the Chicago White Sox in the minor leagues -- have done some reconsidering.

"Me and Michael have both agreed that it would be best for me to live on my own for six months to a year to gain some independence and figure out the world on my own," Brielle said. "I don't ever want to have to depend on a man, so I want to learn to do things on my own and support myself before I go from living in my parents house to living with a man."

"Michael's an athlete. He already has his career figured out, and he knows what he's doing," she added. "I'm only 20 years old. There's all this pressure on me to go to college or to get a job, and I don't think people really understand that I'm different."

"I'm not like these other kids that just go to college and get a bullshit degree," she continued. "I really want to figure out what I want to do first and then take the steps towards that. If it's me going to college, I'm open to doing that, I just haven't figured out my passion in life yet."

Brielle said her parents are on board with her current plan, which is to move into her own place around the time of her 21st birthday in February. Until then, Brielle will live with her family in their Atlanta home.

"I love being home, and I love being with my siblings and my family," she said. "Being here is also kind of allowing me to live rent free, but just because I live at home doesn't mean my parents are paying for everything. People think they're paying for my vacations or my food or my car or my clothes or my makeup. People think I freeload off my parents, and I don't. I actually have different sources of income. I'm very independent, and I take care of myself aside from a roof over my head."

When asked if she was ready for marriage, Brielle said she wanted to wait.

"But if he proposed to me tomorrow, I'd say yes," she added.

One thing Brielle is definitely not opposed to is following in her mother's footsteps by becoming a Real Housewife.

"I actually tweeted Andy Cohen a little while ago," she said. "I said we should start up a 'Real Housewives of Chicago' because if Michael gets to the Major Leagues this year -- I mean, we're not married, but I'm sure in a couple years, if Andy Cohen wants to start that franchise up, I'll be down. He can give me a call."
