A day after the Parkland, Florida shooting left 17 dead when a gunman open fired in a high school, Hollywood is continuing to beat the #GunReformNow drum.
"Fix the DAMN GUN LAWS," Marlon Wayans tweeted after Republican congressman Paul Ryan blamed mental health as the "big problem" in America.
Miley Cyrus added, "It MUST stop," along with a meme reading, "Yesterday was the time to do something about gun violence."
"I hope all of our representatives know that the American people expect them to work the will of the people," Reese Witherspoon tweeted. "We need gun safety laws. NOW. Republicans/Democrats. This is not about partisan politics. It's about our children & communities & we will vote for people who care about US."
A gunman -- identified as former student Nikolas Cruz -- opened fire Wednesday inside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, resulting in "numerous fatalities." At least 17 people were killed making the tragedy the third deadliest school shooting in U.S. history. Cruz, who opened fire with an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, has been released from the hospital and is now in custody.
After it was announced Thuesday that Amy Schumer got married, she encouraged fans to donate to EveryTown, an organization who works to end gun violence and build safer communities, as a wedding gift.

We are grieving with Parkland. But we are not powerless. Caring for our kids is our first job. And until we can honestly say that we're doing enough to keep them safe from harm, including long overdue, common-sense gun safety laws that most Americans want, then we have to change.
Interesting that the same group of people who are against ending a fetus' life in a womb are the same people who think little children getting shot at school, is perfectly fine and do nothing to stop that.

Don't let today become yesterday ..... don't let tomorrow pass by ..... everyday that fades is a wasted one , as are the valuable lives lost by gun violence . It MUST stop. What are we going to do about it? Never give up. @happyhippiefdn pic.twitter.com/WPPOLffY5z
.@KellyRipa said it best. To the students, parents and teachers affected by the senseless act at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, we are heartbroken and grieving with you. pic.twitter.com/yZNUKzXaSP
My heart breaks for those affected from the Parkland shooting. This one hits hard as it's in our county where I live w/ my family. Strengh, love and light to all the families & students during this tragic time. Stay strong - together.
Abortion is a difficult subject to discuss, because people either believe life begins at conception or they don't. Discussing gun laws shouldn't be the same, because there are so many shades of gray between owning whatever you want or nothing at all. #GunReformNow THREAD.
I am absolutely baffled watching the President speak about the tragedy in #parkland and not ONE word about guns. Shameful. My blood is boiling. Something has to change. Bring on the midterms so we can use our power to vote out politicians who continue to do nothing.
