Jimmy Kimmel already clapped back pretty hard at Donald Trump's Oscars ratings criticism, but he dug further into the president on Tuesday night during a scathing monologue comparing Trump's "life story" to Best Picture winner "The Shape of Water."
"Trump always has a problem with the Academy Awards, which is surprising, because I really think he would love the Best Picture winner, 'The Shape of Water,'" Kimmel said. "The movie, if you haven't seen it, it's about a monster that has sex with a women who can't talk about it. It's like his life story, right?"

Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY. Problem is, we don't have Stars anymore - except your President (just kidding, of course)!
@realDonaldTrump
Thanks, lowest rated President in HISTORY. https://t.co/E01UgDaZ3T

While explaining the Twitter beef to his audience Tuesday night, Kimmel was laughing out loud at the notion that Trump was "just kidding" about being the only "star" left in the world.
"Of course he's kidding. He's not narcissistic," a visibly amused Kimmel said. "Now Trump loves saying the ratings are down to insinuate that is a show of some kind of support for him, but the truth is, every year since Netflix happened, ratings are down for every big TV show -- Super Bowl, Grammys, Emmys, Golden Globes. But Trump thinks he caused the ratings to go down."
Kimmel also hit Trump where it hurts by pointing this out: "My tweet got more than twice as many likes as his tweet did."
Actually, way more. As of Wednesday morning, Kimmel's tweet was sitting pretty with over 577,000 likes, while Trump's had 187,000.
Sad!
