In the first trailer for "A Star Is Born," we see Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in a brand new light.
Gaga plays a struggling brunette artist (totally 360 from her real life), and Cooper plays a bearded musician. Yep, that's right. The four-time Oscar nominee sings in this movie on top of directing it.

View StoryThe love story follows Jackson Maine (Cooper), a successful actor and musician, who falls in love with Ally (Gaga), a talented singer who is close to giving up her dreams of making it big. As Maine strives to make her a star, his own personal demons -- such as alcoholism -- come to light.
"Almost every single person who's told me they liked the way I sounded, but that they didn't like the way that I look," Ally says in the trailer.
"I think you're beautiful," Maine reassures her.

The trailer suggests this movie is going to pull at your heartstrings hard, and good luck not getting goosebumps when Gaga starts singing.
Co-stars in Cooper's directorial debut include Andrew Dice Clay, Anthony Ramos, Dave Chappelle and Sam Elliott.
Gaga is performing original songs in the film, which she co-wrote with Cooper and other artists, including Mark Ronson. Yeah, we're going to need that soundtrack ASAP.
"A Star Is Born" hits theaters October 5, 2018.
