Jessica Lange to Return to 'American Horror Story' for Season 8
'American Horror Story' Cast Steps Out to 2018 FX Annual All-Star Party

The new season premieres this fall.

Jessica Lange is returning for Season 8 of "American Horror Story."

Sarah Paulson announced Friday at the FX Television Critics Association panel that Lange will be reprising her role as Constance in the new season, titled "American Horror Story: Apocalypse." Fans will remember the character from the very first season of the hit horror series that took place in a haunted house in Los Angeles.

"I do have the great pleasure of letting you all know that, yes, she will be back," Paulson said. "Jessica will be returning as Constance in an episode that I'm going to direct."

It was also announced at the TCA press tour that the FX horror anthology series has been renewed through a 10th season.

Although most details about the new season have been kept under wraps, creator Ryan Murphy previously revealed that Season 8 will be a "crossover" with Season 1's "Murder House" and Season 3's "Coven."

Joining Paulson and Lange for Season 8 are Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman, while Joan Collins will be joining the cast as Peters' grandmother.

"American Horror Story: Apocalypse" will premiere Sept. 12 at 10 p.m. EST/PST on FX.
