NBC comedian rips Trump after sketch in which he literally tries to fire a dog.
Omarosa Manigault-Newman was the talk of late-night television Tuesday. But while most of the comedians were dumping on her book, Seth Meyers was busy taking President Donald Trump to task for calling his former White House aide a "dog."
"In regards to this Omarosa business, let’s not forget that anyone who calls a black woman a dog is a racist with a rotted-out soul," Meyers said.
The NBC star was referencing Trump's Tuesday morning tweet that read, "When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!"
Meyers' blunt assessment came at the end of a sketch in which he brought an actual dog on stage and tried to fire the adorable canine named Kevin.
"This isn't the first time Donald Trump has referred to firing a dog in a tweet, he's done it multiple times, and it's strange, because most people when they think of dogs don't think of firing them. So we wondered what that would look like, so please enjoy our new segment, 'Seth Fires a Dog.'"
And it's harder than you would think. For starters, how can you stay mad at a dog? Secondly, dogs don't understand your stupid human words so they don't care about whatever nonsense you're blabbering about, unless there is a treat in hand to reward their patience.
