Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have been married for almost seven years, and it seems like the spark has yet to fade.
But when the former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star revealed on Wednesday that the former Atlanta Falcons star tried to dump her eight years ago to the day, fans were shocked. So Kim and Kroy went into a detailed explanation of the circumstances that almost tore them apart on her podcast, "House of Kim."

View StoryIn May 2010, Kim met Kroy on "Dancing Stars of Atlanta." She was filming for "RHOA" at the time and said Kroy stopped her dead in her tracks. "I literally was like, 'Oh, my God -- that is the hottest ass and body I have ever seen.' I don't even know that I looked at his face for the first 20 seconds," she said. Kroy was 24. She was 31.
The two realized the media frenzy surrounding going public with a relationship would be unbearable, so they began dating secretly. They said they would sometimes meet on the side of the highway and make out. Kim was even concerned something was "wrong" with her because Kroy would only go to "second base" for the first six months.

Soon after, Kim attended one of Kroy's practice games, where a paparazzo snapped a shot of her at the stadium. She said it was a matter of minutes before media outlets began reporting their relationship.
Kim said the couple began "getting it from all angles" and that the pressure eventually got to Kroy. While he was in Florida for a pre-season game, he sent Kim a text that he said was "probably something to the effect of, 'Hey, just wanted to let you know it might be in our best interests to go our separate ways.'"
"Yeah, that's exactly what it said, you jerk!" Kim shouted. "And I was like, 'Why, whats up?' [Kroy replied], 'It just is what it is.' I will never forget that. 'It just is what it is.' I was like, this asshole! Well, f--k him then! I don't need him."

"And the rest is history," Kim said. "Literally history."
Kim and Kroy will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary on Nov. 11. They share four children: KJ, Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane. In 2013, Kroy legally adopted Kim's two daughters from her previous marriage, Brielle and Arianna, who now share the Biermann last name.
