Debra Messing Tells Susan Sarandon to 'STFU' for Saying This About Trump
15 of Donald Trump's Most Epic Twitter Fails

"Let's give Trump credit," Messing sarcastically says to Sarandon. "I mean, how else are you able to walk out on the street?"

Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon are back at each other's throats over President Donald Trump.

On Wednesday afternoon, Messing tore into Sarandon over an interview in which the latter appeared to tell Variety that Trump's presidency has inspired women to run for office. "This is a revolution," she said. "Maybe things had to get so bad before real change actually could happen. We just have to stay awake."

"STFU, SUSAN," Messing tweeted along with the Variety article. "Oh yes, PLEASE let's give Trump CREDIT. I mean, how else are you able to walk out on the street? Convince yourself that this CATASTROPHE of a president, who you said was better than [Hillary Clinton], IS NOT ripping children away from parents seeking asylum INDEFINITELY in internment camps with their new policy, DESTROYING all attempts to protect our environment (yes the water you [pretend] to care about), endangered animals, taking away women's ACCESS to health care and legal abortion, trying to block POC from voting with extreme judges who will support [gerrymandering] efforts, not to mention destroying ALL good will and allied relationships across the globe. Oh, and lest you forget Syria, Crimea, and putting PRO-RUSSIA agenda BEFORE the United States' best interest. YES, do go on."

"And LAUD the effect Trump has had," she continued. "Out of DESPERATION AND PANIC for the DESTRUCTION of the soul of our country," she added. "But you don't want to look at THAT part of the equation because then you'd have to admit you were dead WRONG running around bellowing that HRC was more dangerous than Trump. Only a self righteous, narcissist would continue to spout off and not -- in the face of Americans' pain and agony -- be contrite and apologize for your part in this catastrophe."

"But you do you, Susan," Messing concluded her rant.

"Debs, before you get yourself all self-righteous, try clicking on the video and listening to what I actually say, not Variety's clickbait headline, which [by the way] has no quotation marks. That's a clue," Sarandon replied. "I understand why Variety's clickbait headline would be upsetting, but after you actually watch the video, you'll see that's not what I said. Now that you're riled up, use that energy to call Collins, Murkowski and those Dem Senators still on the fence, and tell them to #StopKavanaugh."

During the interview in question, Sarandon also said, "In all fairness to Trump, this stuff was laid in place over the last 12 years. I mean, this didn't just suddenly happen. Democrats were losing thousands and thousands of seats, and all these things were put in place -- people were being deported, and there were many, many wars -- but he is so bumbling, and he is so... He's like a character out of a cartoon or something that you can't not be aware of what's going on now."

Messing and Sarandon feuded all the way up to the 2016 presidential election and continued to trade words after Trump's win.

Variety has not yet replied to TooFab's request for comment regarding Sarandon's tweets.
