He said yes, and then Xtina turns the concert into a wedding reception.
Christina Aguilera's "Liberation" tour just kicked off to the sound of wedding bells.
Last night at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, Christina sang “Unless It’s With You” as she prepared to help orchestrate a proposal.
"What’s happening here tonight?" she asked as “two special people” joined her on stage in front of thousands. "I want to share this with you guys. I have a really special surprise that’s happening tonight."
Ben Lear and Mike Kontomanolis thanked her for impacting their lives, as they enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Tearing up, Lear turned to Kontomanolis to say, “I could not have imagined you could have a better moment than [with] this woman, who has inspired you throughout your whole life and has brought you so many things."
He thanked Aguilera for being "an inspiration to not only everybody here, but to him," before turning back to Kontomanolis, and getting down on one knee.
"You’re kind, you’re beautiful, you’re loving," he said. "Six years ago, you proposed to me and you gave me the opportunity to say yes. Tonight, in front of Christina, I’m going to ask you the same question."
After Kontomanolis said yes, Aguilera shrieked for the happy couple. "Oh my God! Congratulations!"
It was then revealed that Kontomanolis was a volunteer at Xtina’s Back to Basics concert, as the Nasty, Naughty Boy.
Ecstatic from the proposal, Kontomanolis thanked the pop star. "You are so important to me. You’ve gotten me through so many important things," he said. "I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have you and your music to lift me up and just carry me through."
Christina thanked the couple once more, "I wanted to share and dedicate this special moment to two people who have been tried and true through my life and supported me. So, I want to wish you guys the best of luck. Thank you so much! Muah! Congratulations, you guys!"
Then Aguilera kept the celebration going. "All right, guys, let’s turn this into a wedding reception!" she yelled. "Let’s have some fun tonight!"
The singer's Liberation tour resumes Friday at the Mark G. Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
