Nicki initially tweeted Irv Gotti discussed that potential deal with her:
Same thing with Steve Madden. Irv Gotti asked me to do that deal several times. I passed. You never hear me talking bout things like this. 🤣 she rlly thought she was doing smthn talking about turning down deals. BWAAAAAHAHAAAHAHAHAAAAA #DipVIDEO out now.
The undisputed queens of hip-hop found their ongoing feud taking over Twitter, with both "Cardi" and "Nicki" dominating Twitter's trending topics Monday night. But as fans chose sides, the women appeared to be calling for a truce, even as "The Maury Show" offered to pay for a lie detector test.
The latest explosive volley came from Cardi B as she blasted Nicki Minaj talking about her yet again on Queen Radio. This time, as TMZ reports, Cardi let loose with an eleven-video long Instagram tirade where she threatened both legal action and physical violence against Nicki ... or at least she told Minaj she was ready to fight out their differences in the street if need be.
The centerpiece of the whole war remains the brawl between the two women at the Harper's Bazaar party in early September, where Cardi infamously threw a show at Nicki.
Cardi systematically broke down all the flaws in the various things Nicki has complained about, running down the list video by video. She talked about various tracks the women had been in or turned down, including the recent Little Mix single "Woman Like Me."
Cardi said that one was offered to her first, which was too much for Little Mix. They'd tried to stay out of the whole feud, but decided to "spill the tea" as it were, jumping into the fray to say that the song had definitely been offered to Nicki first.
Nicki fired back on Twitter, calling out Cardi by claiming she doesn't write her own raps, and offering for both women to take lie detector tests to get to the bottom of who's telling the truth.
Hell, this whole thing got so wild even Maury Povich chimed in, offering his own lie detector services for free. Now, we'll definitely get to the bottom of who the real father is. Or, ahem...
Nicki then wrapped up her side of the beef by tweeting that she wasn't going to be talking about any of this anymore, instead choosing to focus on positive things. Cardi took a screenshot of that post to her Instagram page, captioning it, "Alright then! Let's keep it positive and keep it pushing!"
Ok you guys, let's focus on positive things only from here on out. We're all so blessed. I know this stuff is entertaining & funny to a lot of people but I won't be discussing this nonsense anymore. Thank you for the support & encouragement year after year. Love you. ♥️
It remains to be seen if more civil tongues will prevail in the days and weeks to come, but it's good to know that if it does come to fisticuffs, both women have legions of followers ready to come to their aid, and in almost equal numbers.
At the time of publication, Cardi is trending number one with Nicki close behind, despite Nicki having approximately 5k more tweets. Both women are surging past 500k total tweets.
Onika what???? You're the one that keeps bringing it up in your radio show. Beatz 1 interview when you dropped chin li was about cardi, your whole queen press run was about cardi, you keep subbing cardi in songs no one streams, and queen radio, about cardi 😂😭 #insecure pic.twitter.com/q2JkFVEKNO
Imagine stanning Nicki in 2018? I have to laugh. Cardi is that bitch. Nicki needs to stop being petty and realize that her time is up. There's a new queen to heir to the Thorne. Let's give it up for the best-selling female rapper in the last two years. The Queen Mrs. Cardi B! pic.twitter.com/UWVVV5ijGu
“All that rah rah never was the icon issue, harpers bazaar- I'm covering the icon issue. I got issues, damn man I got issues. W, Vogue, Cosmo- I got issues.” 🔥🔥🔥 a lyricist~ nun of y'all low IQ girlies can ever see Nicki's pen period pic.twitter.com/u2kxA6zLUh
Cardi didn't say anything rude about Little Mix at all simply stated that they sent her a song yet they wanna post they're little trash ass childish statement and talk about tea & no shade. Why hop in beef that ISNT YOURS & spark a ruse. And aren't you supposed to uplift women !?
How I feel knowing that #Cardi and #Nicki, two of the most influential female rappers of our time, will never work together to conquer an industry that desperately needs them... pic.twitter.com/AgQsRidsHg
