Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola was the only "Jersey Shore" castmate to not attend the nuptials.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino tied the knot last "Jerzday" in front of almost all of his loved ones; the only high-profile person missing was his former "Jersey Shore" co-star and friend, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola.
But it seems there's no bad blood between the two because Mike told Us Weekly that Sammi "was invited." Although she didn't attend, Mike said she sent a "very heartfelt, sweet gift."
As many "Jersey Shore" fans (and even non-"Jersey Shore" fans) know, Sammi and Ron had one of the most tumultuous relationships in reality television history during the first go-around of "Jersey Shore." Although not confirmed, many people believe that's the reason Sammi chose not to take part in the series' reboot, "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," which has heavily documented Ron's new relationship with his baby mama, Jen.
Sammi aside, the rest of the "Jersey Shore" gang bore witness to Mike saying "I do" to his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pesce, last Thursday at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Pauly D and even Angelina Pivarnick were all at the ceremony, where JWoww and Snooki's daughters -- Meilani and Giovanni -- served as flower girls.
Mike and Lauren wed before he heads off to prison to serve an eight-month sentence for tax evasion. At the time of his sentencing, Mike's lawyer said his client was "looking forward to marrying his college sweetheart ... and moving forward together after he serves his sentence."
