It all started out quite innocently. Ellen told her guest, "You love special effects makeup, so we're gonna do some right now. The only thing is, I wrote the script, so I'll be your hands, and you are gonna demonstrate on yourself."
Draped in a purple cloak, Margot stood directly in front of Ellen and read a makeup tutorial script from a nearby teleprompter. After introducing herself as "Academy Award-nominated actress and Australia's sweetheart," she explained how it's possible to "completely change a person's face" using prosthetics. She noted that that was done to her in her new film, "Mary Queen of Scots," in which she plays Queen Elizabeth I.
Up come Ellen's arms to place a giant pig nose on Margot's face. The actress giggled, but that was only the beginning. Within minutes, Margot was covered in concealer, lipstick and powder. Her giggles grew to chuckles, which eventually turned into a full-blown laugh attack -- the type of laugh attack that makes those within earshot keel over in similar delight.
