'Good Place' Star Jameela Jamil Defends Calling Khloe Kardashian a 'Poor Woman' in a 'Prison of Self-Critique'
Khloe Kardashian's Most Savage Twitter Klapbacks

It all started when Khloe shared a message on her Instagram Story that read, "2 Things a Girl Wants: 1) Lose Weight. 2) Eat."

"The Good Place" star Jameela Jamil is defending using Khloe Kardashian as an example of what "the media" has done to women in the entertainment industry: "They fat shamed her into a prison of self-critique."

It all started when Khloe shared a message on her Instagram Story that read, "2 Things a Girl Wants: 1) Lose Weight. 2) Eat." Jameela took a screenshot of the message and posted it to Twitter, writing, "This makes me sad. I hope my daughter grows up wanting more than this. I want more than this. Sending love to this poor woman. This industry did this to her. The media did it to her. They fat shamed her into a prison of self-critique. Dear girls, WANT MORE THAN THIS."

Media outlets picked up the tweet, with several reporting that Jameela had "slammed," "called out" and put the reality star "on blast." She was not having it.

"To the press outlets that said I 'slammed,' 'called out,' 'came for,' 'hit out at' Khloe in this post: You suck," Jameela tweeted in response. "You're trying to make a woman of color look violent and aggressive when I could not have been more empathetic. I was criticizing the fat-shaming media."

"I am doing what I do and saying what I say for the mental health of young kids who follow damaging rhetoric and are at risk of internalizing it more than adults," she continued, adding that "people who haven't suffered with or understand eating disorders don't understand the desperate need we are in to change the conversation around weight and food."

Jameela -- who alluded to having suffered from an eating disorder herself -- pointed to "media and celebrities" to spark that change.

The actress also responded to a critic who had apparently laughed at her outrage. "Is it funny, mate? Eating disorders funny to you? Little girls being scared of food and fat? Obsessing over their weight rather than thinking about school or happiness or fun? Is it LOLs?" she replied. "Is someone who frequently peddles weight-loss products, reminding kids to diet, hilarious?" The critic has since deleted their tweet.

"I don't care how humorless or annoying anyone will find me -- I will make it too difficult to get away with fat-phobia, fat jokes, fat-shaming, food-shaming and frankly, anything that encourages eating-disorder mentality," Jameela continued. "I will annoy you into submission. Watch me."

It sounds like this won't be the last time we hear about this topic from the British actress -- and it certainly wasn't the first.

Last November, Jameela asked stars peddling "skinny" products to "give us the discount codes to your nutritionists, personal chefs, personal trainers, airbrushers and plastic surgeons."

At the time, Jameela referred to these stars as "bloody liars." It seems her approach has shifted, but her message remains the same.

@jameelajamilofficial pretty much sums it up in one post! These celebrities, namely @khloekardashian and other people who think they’re celebrities 🙄 #kimzolciakbiermann encourage young people to try these shakes and teas so they can “achieve” their look, knowing damn well that they don’t use these products themselves. They have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on plastic surgery and numerous other procedures to cheat their way into changing their bodies. It didn’t come from squats or hard work in the gym, it was all paid for. These woman have daughters that they are raising and you would think they would try to set a better example. I guess getting that $$ is more important than being a responsible role model. 🤷🏻‍♀️ #disgustsme #irresponsible #karma #khloekardashian #kimzolciak #eatingdisorder #310nutrition #flattummyco #teamiblends #jameelajamil #lies #bloodyliars #iwantmorethanthis #bodypositive #irresponsiblecelebrities #unfollowthem
