Lil Uzi Vert has announced that he's "done with music" and fans are heartbroken.
The rapper took to his Instagram Stories Friday night and said he plans to leave the music industry to live a "normal" life. Uzi, who was expected to release a new album titled "Eternal Awake" this year, wrote that he had erased the project he had been working on.
"I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supporters but I'm done with music," he wrote over a photo of his Gucci socks. "I deleted everything."
"I wanna be normal," he continued. "I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free."
TooFab has reached out to Atlantic Records and Uzi's representatives for comment, but has yet to hear back.
