Jhene Aiko Speaks Out About Big Sean Breakup Following Cryptic Instagram Videos
First Look at Ariana Grande's 'Sweetener' Tour

"Speaking the truth only," the singer shared on the social media platform. "You cannot control me."

Jhene Aiko is setting the record straight about her split from Big Sean.

On Tuesday, the singer shared a video of herself and her team recording new music in a studio. "Tonight, three new freestyles complete. 2019. Speaking the truth only. You cannot control me," she wrote over the Instagram Story, adding a quote many believe to be a verse from one of her new tracks that read, "I'm feeling strangely sane today."

In another video, the 31-year-old wrote, "Took my last Klonopin today. Okay, here comes the rage."

The Shade Room shared the videos, captioning their post, "Looks like Jhene Aiko is puttin' that work in for her album. Are y'all waiting on it?" Fans instantly flooded the comments section with references to her ex-boyfriend, Big Sean, who was recently spotted hanging out with another one of his exes, Ariana Grande. Fans expected Jhene's new music to reveal all kinds of dirt on Sean, but the singer said, don't hold your breath.

"Me and Sean are good," Jhene replied to a fan who suggested she would "snitch" on her ex in her upcoming album. "I've got tons of love for him. My next album is all freestyles, where I touch on many subjects and relationships...past, present and future."

"I know you all love the drama and would like to think everything I do or say is about him, but I've been through plenty of other things and situations that I pull inspiration from when I sit down to create a song. Have a good day," she added.

Jhene and Sean were seemingly still dating until the end of last year when she got her massive tattoo of his face removed from her arm.

Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly that the split took place in mid-December and wasn't necessarily "amicable," adding that "now, they are civil towards each other."
