View StoryThe painstaking attention to detail as King's Landing and Winterfell and other key locales from the breadth of Westeros arise on the creme-covered landscape as that iconic orchestral arrangement plays. It's so utterly bizarre and yet also breathtakingly beautiful at the same time.
According to CNet, Oreo even partnered with HBO and Elastic, the company behind the actual opening credits, to make their tribute which consumed (natch) 2,750 cookies.
The final product is clearly a labor of love, as evidenced by just how meticulously each moment was crafted. They didn't need to show so much care in the authenticity of recreating the cities they did throughout this commercials, but "Thrones" fans will surely appreciate that they did.

View StoryUsually, product endorsement commercials are annoying or lame, but this one managed to be neither. And while this may sound like a paid advertisement, it absolutely is not. It is appreciation for when advertising transcends marketing and becomes art ... not that we'd be adverse to some cookies showing up at the office.
It absolutely did the jobs it set out to do, too. We'll be curling up with a package of those cookies when the final season of "Game of Thrones" kicks off on April 14 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
