The talk show host is able to produce a donut at lightning speed, but it turns out this is a power that James Corden has always possessed.
James Corden was ready to take on something new in his career and Zachary Levi was just the guy to help him do it. It was time for the song-and-dance man to become a bona fide superhero.
The "Shazam" star dropped by "The Late Late Show" with all the tools necessary to make James Corden a guy in a spandex Shazam costume. But what was his super-power?

View StoryLevi was game to play along with all the ridiculuosness, and his natural charm and humor really helped sell the premise of the bit, which was Corden trying to figure out what his super-powers. After he failed to rip a single piece of paper, he lamented, "I think it's made me weaker."
It's not super-strength. He tried x-ray vision, which required a stealth protective grab from Levi and even super-speed.
It turns out James Corden has a superpower that has nothing to do with costumes or mystical abilities. Out of nowhere, he produced a donut but it wasn't super-speed. "ull disclosure, that was in my shoe," he told Levi. And when questioned, he explained, "I'll never not have a donut in my shoe."
Honestly, Corden always nails it with these pre-taped bits and parodies of popular films and it's kind of surprising this was his first deep dive into the superhero genre. But with material as brilliant as the superpower he finally does discover he has, here's hoping this won't be the last.

View StoryIf nothing else, we need to see James Corden's Speedgoat -- you'll have to see the video to understand this name -- team up with Deadpool whenever the next installment of that franchise happens. Maybe Levi will even return and make it a three-way superhero slugfest.
And if there's ever a need for an extremely low-budget "Shazam" knockoff film, well... Corden already has the suit.
