"Swimming with Ryan Lochte in my backyard," Legend wrote alongside the video. "2020 Olympic Team."
If you're going to take swimming lessons, why not learn from an Olympian?
Grammy winner John Legend recently revealed a few months ago he "can't really swim" and had just taken his first lessons. Now the "All of Me" singer is learning from one of the best: six-time Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte.
Back in January, Legend announced to his followers he was taking lessons with his kids -- Luna, 2, and Miles, 10 months. Although he admitted his children had started learning before he did, the EGOT winner said his father didn't know how to swim until much later in life.
"I can't really swim," he tweeted at the time. "Today I took my first swim lesson since I was like 5. My dad learned in his 60's so I feel like I'm ahead of schedule."
After a fan asked if he was learning with his kids, Legend said, "They already started months ago!"
Last month, Legend posted a video of him doing similar laps as he did with Lochte. In the clip, the instructor says, "You might be a competitive swimmer now!"
