The fight got so heated, McCain pointed her finger at Behar and yelled, "Let me finish!'
"The View" may have been on hiatus for a week, but that didn't stop the show from coming back full force during its return Monday morning.
Everyone was being civil until the ladies started discussing the Mueller report from last week. Meghan McCain got so fired up while fighting with Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin, Whoopi Goldberg had to cut the conservative commentator off and send the show to commercial.
As with many issues on the morning show, the discussion had the table divided: Hostin, Behar and Goldberg on one end and Abby Huntsman and McCain on the other.
While Hostin called the Mueller report "illuminating," McCain and Huntsman weren't impressed and said it was "anticlimactic" and "nothing new." However, shortly after Hostin and Behar pointed out President Donald Trump's approval rating has gone down to 37 percent, McCain went off on the panel, particularly with Behar.
"Then what's the problem?" McCain asked. "So he's the worst president in history. According to our legal analyst, there's so much in this report that is damning and whatever. Then what's the problem? Why is everyone so nervous about 2020? If this is just a nail in the coffin..."
"Because we're afraid the Russians will steal the election again, that's why," Behar snapped. McCain clapped back and replied, "But to me, that sounds irrational. That's an irrational answer."
When Behar asked McCain what she believes the "rational" answer is, she replied, "Unfortunately for Democrats, you got to get out there and win over the voters you lost in the middle of the country."
"I always took Trump seriously," she continued. "You can go back and check the receipts when I worked at Fox and when I worked on my radio show. I always took Trump seriously. This mess that we all got ourselves into, I blame the left as much as the right, and the demonizing of all conservatives in this country, all Trump supporters in every way. You're getting him re-elected."
McCain pointed out how the report claimed Trump "didn't collude" with Russia, but Behar hit back and said, "You know that's not true!" As Hostin attempted to list some of Trump's other alleged crimes, McCain raised her voice and spoke even louder.
"I accepted the Magnitsky Award in London on behalf of my father," McCain exclaimed. "I'm someone who has been speaking out against Russia, by the way." She then pointed her finger at Behar and yelled, "Let me finish!"
Although McCain was still shouting at her cohosts, Goldberg was forced to throw the show into commercial. She looked at the camera and mouthed, "We'll be right back." However, McCain continued to yell and could still be heard over the talk show's music.
