"I don't know what I know, is true," says the confused star.
While Jon Snow may know nothing, his friend Samwell Tarly appears to know everything. But the actor who plays him, John Bradley, well, he doesn't really know what he knows, he admitted on Ellen.
On Thursday's episode, the "Game Of Thrones" star was grilled by the host about the show's impending ending, now just three weekends away.
"Well I thought I knew how it was going to end, and we definitely shot an ending, I can tell you that," he said.
However he recalled reading a recent interview with showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff in which they hinted they may have shot alternate endings: "The actors think they know how it's going to end."
"Actor's paranoia instantly kicked in; I thought 'What does that mean?'" Bradley added, puzzled.
"I don't know what I know, is true. I may ultimately know, but I'm not going to know that I know, until I know that I know," he joked.
The 30-year-old also admitted he was as surprised as Ellen when his character lived to see another day after last Sunday's epic Battle of Winterfell, while many did not.
"I didn't think I was going to survive either," he laughed. "You're always kind of looking at the scripts for the episodes with one eye open, you're so nervous."
"People always say 'Oh Sam can't die! Sam's too important', or 'Sam's too beloved'. And you just think 'God don't you watch the show? Have you never seen the show before?' Important and beloved doesn't matter, nobody is sacred," he added. "Nobody is safe in 'Game of Thrones.'"
He also laughed off the fact fans describe the series as "one of those shows where all your favorite characters die," joking, "I'm like 'What does that say about me? I'm still here! I'm still around!"
"Game of Thrones" airs Sundays on HBO.
