In an interview with Access, Chopra detailed just how spontaneous the Las Vegas wedding was -- with celebrity guests being invited last minute while at the Billboard Music Awards -- and accidentally teased another more extravagant celebration.
Chopra let slip that the Vegas wedding won't be the only ceremony for the newlyweds. "They're gonna have this amazing, beautiful wedding obviously," she said before her interviewer expressed surprise "Oh they are?"
"Yeah," Chopra said and then appeared to worry she had spoiled something, "Was I not supposed to say that?!"
Nonetheless the conversation moved along as Joe has said in the past they plan to have a flag football and rugby game for their wedding. When asked which team Chopra will be on, the "Quantico" star said, "I'm going to be on the cheering team. 'Yay, you guys are great! Well done!' while I sip on a Bellini."
While Chopra and Nick Jonas -- who got married back in December -- had multiple lavish weddings, parties and ceremonies to celebrate their nuptials, the "Isn't It Romantic" star said Joe and Turner's wedding was a reflection of who they are as a couple, just like her nuptials to Nick were a representation of their relationship.
"It's exactly who and what we stand for," Chopra said. "Nick and Joe both are so different but are best friends and that's what's beautiful about their relationships. And you can see that in the weddings as well. It was very reflective of the two of them and us as couples, you know?"
Meanwhile, of the first ceremony that grabbed headlines last week Chopra said: "That was so fun! It was so fun! And it's so Jophie, I call them Jophie. It's like, trust them to do that. That is Jophie!"
Turner, 23, and Joe, 29, tied the knot at Chapel L'Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel in Sin City on May 1. The ceremony was officiated by an Elvis impersonator and was filmed by Diplo, which he shared on Instagram Live.
Another perk of having a wedding after an awards show? Country duo Dan + Shay were there to perform their hit "Speechless" as Turner walked down the aisle.
Chopra explained how the surprise nuptials went down. "It was really funny," she said. "We were at the Billboards. Joe I think had this idea that he wanted to do this. But we were at the Billboards and he had these little black cards that we all got. We were randomly inviting our friends, like people that we met."
"We were like, 'alright, we're going to set up this wedding now, we're going to the chapel right from here, and please arrive, please arrive.' We had Diplo, Khalid, they were really sweet, they arrived. Diplo Instagram Live-d the whole thing, it was awesome."
"It was so funny!" she continued. "I mean, we were driving around this pink Hummer limo. I was outside the window. It was just epic," said Chopra. "I had that long hair extensions that I thought was going to fly out of the window. It was that kind of night -- a Jophie kind of night."
