'Frozen 2' Trailer: Elsa and the Gang Hope to Learn Truth Behind Her Magical Powers

It's time to "Let It Go," because the first full-length trailer for "Frozen 2" is here.

In the latest clip for the highly-anticipated animated sequel, Elsa (Idina Menzel), Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Olaf (Josh Gad) and Sven travel to an enchanted forest to find the origin of Elsa's powers to save their kingdom of Arendelle.

The clip opens to a young Elsa and Anna hearing a bedtime story from their late father, King Agnarr, voiced by Alfred Molina. Their dad tells them about a "magical" forest where "something went wrong." He adds, "Since then, no one can get in or out." We also catch a glimpse of Elsa and Anna's mom, Iduna, who is voiced by Evan Rachel Wood.

The trailer then flashes to an adult Elsa and Anna, who confides in Kristoff about her older sister's odd behavior. She asks, "Has Elsa seemed weird to you?"

After Elsa learns she's been hearing "a voice," a storm hits Arendelle, making the city unsafe. Because of this, Elsa, Anna and the crew set off on a dangerous journey to discover the truth about Elsa's powers and learn the secrets of her and Anna's past. At the entrance to the enchanted forest -- whcih no one has been able to get through before -- they are stopped by Lieutenant Matthias, voiced by Sterling K. Brown.

The footage shows epic action sequences and incredible effects, with Elsa even riding an ice horse at one point. The trailer also teases some emotional moments -- it is a Disney film, after all -- as Anna tells her sister, "I believe in you Elsa, more than anyone or anything."

The trailer also introduces a few more new characters, including an adorable salamander. Read their character descriptions, via the press release, below:

• KING AGNARR: "The son of King Runeard, King Agnarr is married to Queen Iduna, and is Anna and Elsa's father. King Agnarr loves his family, and would do anything to ensure his daughters' wellbeing and safety. Alfred Molina lends his voice to King Agnarr."

• YELANA: "The unspoken leader of the nomadic Northuldra. She is fiercely protective of her family and community but is known to soften when people show an understanding of nature and their environment. Martha Plimpton was called on to bring Yelana to life."

• HONEYMAREN: "A member of the Northuldra, Honeymaren is a true free spirit and wants nothing more than to bring peace to the enchanted forest. She is bold and brave, with a reverence for the magic of nature. Rachel Matthews provides the voice of Honeymaren."

• RYDER: "Eager and fun, Honeymaren's brother Ryder embraces life with optimism. Ryder's love of reindeer might just rival Kristoff's - but unlike Kristoff, Ryder has never roamed the great plains outside of the Enchanted Forest. He longs to embrace the world and venture beyond the magical mist. Jason Ritter lends his voice to Ryder."

• BRUNI: "Curious and cute, this salamander inhabits the Enchanted Forest. Though shy at first, Bruni can't help but be drawn to Elsa's icy magic and enjoys the cool snowflake treats she creates."

"Frozen 2" hits theaters November 22, 2019.
