The topic of US financial commitment to Ukraine has been high on everybody's mind since it emerged President Trump pushed President Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son Hunter, while pointing out the "United States has been very very good to Ukraine".
"If our president used that financial aid to leverage president Zelensky to investigate Biden he should be impeached," Kutcher claimed. "If our president did not use it as leverage and simply encouraged president Zelensky to investigate Biden without cause he should be impeached."
Directly texting his followers via communications service Community — in which he is an investor — he added: "If you like President Trump or not America is the priority soliciting foreign interference in our election is unAmerican."
On Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump, after transcripts of the July phonecall were released.
"This week, the president has admitted to asking the president of Ukraine to take actions which would benefit him politically," she said. "The actions of the Trump presidency revealed dishonorable facts of the president's betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections."
