Priyanka Chopra Celebrates Karwa Chauth in Honor of Husband Nick Jonas, Scores Lead Role in 'Frozen II'

Priyanka Chopra had a lot to celebrate on Thursday and it was all about family!

First, she spent the day honoring and celebrating husband Nick Jonas as part of her first Karwa Chauth, a traditional Hindu festival that sees wives fasting from sunrise to moonrise for the health and well-being of their husbands. Then she dropped a bombshell announcement that sees her collaborating with her cousin on a huge Disney project.

For Priyanka, Thursday would prove to be a unique and special Karwa Chauth observation as she got to do it during Nick's work, i.e. a Jonas Brothers concert. She couldn't help but throw in a laughing emoji when pointing out this little detail in a sweet Instagram post about the day.

"Definitely a first I'll always remember!" she wrote.

She followed it up later in the night with a pair of goofy pictures of the happy couple, calling Nick "my everything."

But this holy day of celebration also came with some huge news for Priyanka's fans, and it included another family connection. She shared a promotional poster/video for her next blockbuster project: "Frozen II." Priyanka has landed the lead role of Elsa, with her cousin Parineeti Chopra taking on Anna, who shared an identical post to her own Instagram page.

It's a nifty little reveal, with the iconic Disney characters being swept away by fall leaves to reveal the actresses portraying them in their places on the movie poster.

If you were thinking those roles were already locked in for Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell, respectively, well ... you're right. The Chopra sisters will be performing the voice work for the film's Hindi release, coming out the same day as the English-language version.

"Mimi and Tisha are now Elsa and Anna!" Priyanka captioned the big announcement, referencing both women's nicknames. "The #ChopraSisters are finally coming together for Disney's Frozen 2. Can't wait for you guys to see us... I mean HEAR us bring these amazing, strong characters to life in Hindi."

While both women have been active in the film community for years now, and long expressed a desire to work together, this is their first collaboration.

"Frozen II" is scheduled to hit theaters on November 22 (in English and Hindi).
