During an episode of "The Social", co-host Marci Ines waded in the recent rumors that Selena's new song, "Lose You to Love Me" released earlier in the day was about her split with Justin, who married Hailey not long afterwards.
"I think that for Selena and Justin, they are each other's Ones," she told the panel. "And when it's like that -- even though they didn't marry -- when it's like that, the person you're with, like Hailey, knows that and knows it well."
"So, she may be Mrs. Bieber, but Selena will forever have his heart," Ines exclaimed.
The clip was posted on Instagram, which prompted Uncle Billy to reply in the comments section. "Really... wow!!" he wrote, adding a thumbs-down emoji.
The renewed interest in the love triangle was drummed up even more after fans thought Hailey clapped back at Selena by posting a screenshot of the song "I'll Kill You" minutes after Selena's song was released.
But the model cleared up any confusion as she later wrote on social media, "Please stop with this nonsense... there is no 'response.' this is complete BS."
And Selena took to Instagram, in what many believe was a defense of Hailey, saying she wouldn't "stand for women tearing women down."
"And I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn't matter what the situation is, if you're my fans don't be rude to anyone, please," she added.
Selena and Justin had an on-again/off-again relationship from 2011 to late 2017, when they finally called things off for good. Justin went on to date Hailey in June of 2018, and they walked down the aisle together in September of this year.
