And the nominees are...

The nominations for the 2020 SAG Awards have been announced.

Early Wednesday morning, "Superstore" star America Ferrera and "The Walking Dead's" Danai Gurira revealed the Screen Actors Guild's favorite performances from the past year.

Most notable were the multiple performances snubbed by the Golden Globes that were recognized by SAG. Some of these included Lupita Nyong'o's for her performance in "Us," Jamie Foxx for "Just Mercy" and Nicole Kidman for "Bombshell."

On the television side, SAG also recognized Peter Dinklage for "Game of Thrones" and Jharrel Jerome in his breakout role in Ava DuVernay's "When They See Us." Catherine O'Hara was nominated for "Schitt's Creek" after being left off the list for the Globes, while the cast of the critically-acclaimed series also received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. The men from Apple TV's "The Morning Show" were also included on the SAG list, in addition to Jennifer Aniston.

When it came to the film categories, there were many surprising snubs. "The Farewell," "1917," "Little Women," "Booksmart," "Dolemite Is My Name," "Pain and Glory" and "Richard Jewell" were completely shut out, despite all being nominated for one or more Golden Globes. Similar to the Globes, however, "Marriage Story" was recognized in multiple categories, including lead acting noms for Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson. The latter also received a nomination for her supporting role in "Jojo Rabbit."

Adam Sandler failed once again to be nominated for "Uncut Gems." The same goes for Matt Damon's performance in "Ford v. Ferrari." There was still no love for HBO's "Watchmen," besides for a nomination for stunt ensemble.

Meanwhile, like the Golden Globes, Robert De Niro was left off the list for his lead role in "The Irishman." The Martin Scorsese-directed Netflix film was nominated for four SAG Awards, including Al Pacino and Joe Pesci for Male Actor in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. On the bright side, De Niro will be honored with the 2019 SAG Lifetime Achievement Award during the Jan. 19 ceremony.
