The news comes two years after she admitted to an affair with the couple's alleged stalker.
"Love Actually" star Colin Firth and wife of 22 years, Livia, have separated.
The couple confirmed the news on Friday, telling TooFab, "Colin and Livia Firth have separated. They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children. They kindly ask for privacy. There will be no further comment."
The two share two sons: Luca, 18, and Matteo, 16. He also has a 29-year-old son with ex Meg Tilly, Will.
The news of their split comes nearly two years after Livia confirmed she had a relationship with another man while she and Firth were separated. That tidbit of information came out in 2018, after the two accused the other man, journalist Marco Brancaccia, of stalking them.
"For obvious reasons, the Firths have never had any desire to make this matter public. A few years ago Colin and Livia privately made the decision to separate," the couple said at the time. "During that time Livia briefly became involved with former friend Mr. Brancaccia. The Firths have since reunited."
"Subsequently, Mr. Brancaccia carried out a frightening campaign of harassment over several months, much of which is documented," the statement continued. "For obvious reasons, the Firths have never had any desire to make this matter public."
While he was charged with stalking, Brancaccia denied the accusations, admitting to only sending Livia two messages on WhatsApp and a birthday text, and an email to Colin which he "truly" regretted.
The Firths were last photographed together in September, when they attended the Green Carpet Fashion Awards at Milan Fashion Week in Italy (above).
