Seth Rogen Apologizes for Putting Emma Watson In 'Uncomfortable' Position on 'This Is the End' Set

The actress was rumored to be uncomfortable with a scene involving a cannibal and his gimp on This Is the End.

After his GQ interview got pickup, Seth Rogen took to Twitter on Monday to clarify the situation further.

"Emma Watson did not 'storm off the set' and it's s----y that the perception is that she did," he wrote. "The scene was not what was originally scripted, it was getting improvised, changed drastically and was not what she agreed to."

"The narrative that she was in some way uncool or unprofessional is complete bulls---," he continued. "I for sure could have communicated better and because I didn't, she was put in an uncomfortable position. She and I spoke on the night; it was overall a s----y situation and it must have been hard for her to say something and I'm very happy and impressed that she did."

"We agreed on her not being in the scene together," he concluded. "I was thrilled for the opportunity to work with her and would be thrilled to get that opportunity again. I am very sorry and disappointed it happened, and I wish I had done more to prevent it."

Seth Rogen is clearing the air on rumors Emma Watson stormed off the set of their film "This is The End."

During the 2013 production, an extra from the film claimed on Tumblr that Watson refused to do a scene where Danny McBride played a cannibal with Channing Tatum as his gimp on a leash.

"I mean, I don't look back on that and think, 'How dare she do that?' You know?" the actor told British GQ.  "I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesn't seem to be what you thought it was. But it was not some terrible ending to our relationship."

"She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film. No hard feelings and I couldn't be happier with how the film turned out in the end."

TooFab has reached out to Watson for comment.

The film, written (alongside Evan Goldberg) and directed by Rogen, featured an all-star cast playing versions of themselves as they are caught in the middle of an apocalypse during a Hollywood party.

It went on to bank big at the box office and earn rave reviews, with a finished cut that Rogen suggested Watson may have co-signed.

"She was probably right," he said of changing the scene in question. "It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it."
