Testimony continues after Kid Cudi, Cassie Ventura's mother, her former friend, Diddy's ex-assistant, a federal agent, hotel management, and an exotic dancer named "Punisher" all took the stand last week.
After taking Monday off for Memorial Day, Week 3 of the trial against Sean "Diddy" Combs kicked off on Tuesday in NYC.
The hip-hop mogul has maintained his innocence against charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all charges, which also include arson and bribery, he could face a mandatory 15-year prison sentence, with the possibility of life behind bars.
The first week of testimony was dominated by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who dated Combs from 2007 to 2018. On the stand, she detailed graphic sexual scenarios, or "freak offs," with Combs -- dropping allegations of drug usage, violence, blackmail, and even rape. Get a full breakdown of her testimony here.
Others on the witness stand included an escort who was allegedly involved in "freak offs," as well as an agent who detailed what was seized when authorities arrested Combs at a New York City hotel in September 2024, and former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard.

Diddy Trial's Most Disturbing Claims: Week 1 Breakdown
View StoryThe star witness for Week 2 was Scott Mescudi, professionally known as Kid Cudi, who briefly dated Ventura in 2011, breaking up with her shortly after a car explosion he blames on Combs, as well as alleged threats and fear of violence. He also said he felt "played" by Ventura when she went back to Combs.
Also on the witness stand last week were Cassie's mother, ex-best friend, and her former makeup artist. A forensics agent for Homeland Security testified what he found on her laptops, while the Special Agent in charge of the raid on Combs' Miami Beach home testified what they encountered there.
A hotel manager detailed special instructions for Combs' visits, while two of Combs' ex-assistants also spoke about their instructions as employees, and a former exotic dancer named "Punisher" detailed his experiences with both Ventura and Combs during "freak offs."

Defense Cross-Examines Ex-Assistant
Following a break, Mia returned to the stand to be questioned by the defense.
They first brought up a number of photos Mia shared to social media of her after the alleged sexual assaults, in which she either included Combs in the images or tagged him. "You're standing right next to and leaning toward him, the man who terrorized you?" asked defense, as she responded yes.
When asked about posting positive posts about him, despite the alleged assaults, she shared she didn't think "people wrote bad stuff about their life on Instagram back then." She added it was her job to promote and reportedly added that she knew Diddy fans were following her and she didn't want her family to know what was allegedly happening to her.
When defense said she could have gone to her friends about the alleged assault, she said, " No, there was absolutely no time, and I had to get permission to leave or do things" -- before adding, "I had to beg to go to my grandma’s funeral."
She added that she was "in fear of upsetting him other than when we were best friends" -- and, when asked by defense how she could be "best friends with a man you say raped you," she replied, "Ask my therapist."
After a lunch break, Mia was asked about other positive posts she shared about Combs, as well as a scrapbook she made for him.
"I was young and manipulated and eager to survive. I'm unraveling a lot of this now in therapy.," she said when asked why she kept working with Combs. "Nobody was there to say these things that were happening were wrong. There was nobody around us that ever even flinched at his behavior. I was always in trouble and I was always just trying to find a way not to be in trouble."
She insisted she feared Combs would kill her and said that if she ever confronted him "after something violent," he would tell her, "I need help."
Mia will return to the stand on Monday.
Ex-Assistant Continues Testimony
On Friday, a woman who used to work as an assistant to Combs -- and is going by the pseudonym "Mia" -- continued her testimony. This, after claiming Thursday she was physically and sexually assaulted by Diddy and witnessed him attacking Ventura during her time working for him.
She began Friday by claiming Cassie caught Diddy cheating on her with a woman named Gina, which "devastated" her, while she was shooting a movie in South Africa. Mia went with her, saying she was send there by Diddy.
While there, Mia claimed Diddy would text her in the middle of the night, trying to get a hold of Cassie. At the time, she told Combs' chief of staff that he "doesn't sound in his right mind," adding he was "irate, forgetting what he was talking about, slurring quite a bit, saying irrational things." She also said he claimed to kill her or report her to HR.
"If you dont call me now f--k it all. And imma tell everything. And dont ever speak me again. You have 2 min. F--k her. Call my [house] now or never speak to me again," he wrote in one purported text. "Let’s go to war."
She said he also threatened to tell Cassie about the alleged assault, but would make it "as though it was my fault or that I was, or that I had a part in it."
Mia detailed being suspended on numerous occasions by Combs, for reasons including falling asleep after being "awake for days" and not laying his clothes out as specified. She said she was told her suspensions were due to her insubordination.
She then detailed an incicident in St. Barths when she was asked to count money, but was allegedly doing it too slowly. "You better learn to walk on water like Jesus, bitch. Get the f--k out of here," she claimed Diddy told her.
She also said she "tried to run away" from her job a couple times, before she officially left in 2017. Mia said she reached out to Diddy when his ex, Kim Porter, died, as well as when an exec who worked for Diddy's Revolt, Andre Harrell, passed. Per Mia, he reached out to her in 2023 and 2024, after Ventura filed her lawsuit, though she didn't respond -- telling the court, "I just didn’t want anything to do with him at all," while believing the kindness he showed in the messages were just "a front."
Since working with him, Mia said she suffers from PTSD and get triggered when people simply ask her, "Where are you?"
Week 3, Thursday
Assistant Alleges Sexual Assault
Mia also testified about the alleged sexual assault she endured from Diddy, saying one happened while they were in NYC for his 40th birthday.
She claimed he got "close" and put his arm up her dress, kissing her, after clearing the kitchen and offering her shots of vodka. "They hit me hard," she said of the alcohol, saying her eyes couldn't "focus" and she was "shocked" and "froze" when he allegedly made a move on her.
"I didn't process what was happening," Mia continued, claiming, "Next thing I knew it was morning and I was in a chair in the penthouse."
In another instance, she claimed she woke up in his home feeling "the weight of a person on me," a person she identified as Combs. She said she again froze as he allegedly inserted himself inside her, telling the court she was "terrified and confused and ashamed and scared" in the moment and claiming it was all "very quick."
She also accused Combs of "grabbing" her head and making her perform oral sex on him.
Mia said Cassie never witnessed any of these alleged acts, adding that she never consented to them, but didn't say no. "I wouldn't tell him no about a sandwich, or anything," she added, saying she would try "to squiggle out of them if I could," while adding she was also about her career and safety.
"I was going to die with this," said Mia, saying she was only talking about it now because she was asked to testify. "I didn't want anyone to know ever."
More Violence Allegations
After breaking for lunch, "Mia" continued her testimony, claiming Cassie once ran into her room screaming, "He's going to kill me" during a trip to Turks & Caicos. She recalled trying to block the door with furniture, as he was "banging" on it and "screaming." She said she and Ventura ran out via the porch, one of two times she recalled running from him -- but added she never called police, thinking Diddy "was above" authorities and citing a confidentiality agreement.
She also said, as part of her job, she would have to unpack Combs' things -- which included Astroglide, thousands of dollars in cash and white candles. Per Mia, she was asked to clean up hotel rooms too before housekeeping; when she saw blood, she said Diddy told her it was "period blood." As the hotel nights went on, she also claimed Cassie told her she "started getting stomach issues" beforehand.
Mia further claimed Cassie told her she had audio of Diddy "attacking her," and testified to seeing Ventura with a "busted" lip and bruising, which she said Combs asked her to cover up with arnica gel.
Kid Cudi then came up again, as Mia said "the mood was darker than normal" at Diddy's home when Cassie began dating him in December 2011. "He seemed heartbroken. It was ominous. I'd never witness Cass to do something to really cause him to be upset. I felt something bad would happen," said Mia.
She also said she never did drugs before working for Combs, but was given MDMA by him and took ketamine while at Burning Man. Of the latter, Mia claimed Combs "made me short it," as she "didn't feel I had a choice" taking it. She also said he once took drugs en route to a Chelsea Handler appearance.
Mia claimed he also was physical with her, saying he would throw things at her -- including a bowl of spaghetti, turkey meat, a computer and phone. Of the spaghetti incident, she claimed she was bleeding and needed to change her tampon when Diddy asked her to do something -- when she told him that, she said he shouted, "Get the f--k out of my house," before chasing her out and suspending her without pay. She said the computer was thrown at her after an issue with the wi-fi, but didn't make contact.
Overall, she said sometimes he would treat her like "a best friend," while other times like she was "a worthless piece of crap."
Former Assistant Alleges Diddy Violence
"Mia," a woman using a pseudonym who once worked as Diddy's assistant, also testified about the violence she allegedly witnessed.
Mia said she saw a lot of injuries on Ventura. "I've seen him attack her and throw her on the ground. I've seen him, like, crack her head open. I've seen him chase her," she claimed. Mia also recalled seeing Cassie "hiding" in the bushes from Combs at one point outside his L.A. home.
During another alleged incident, Mia said Combs "attacked" Cassie in front of her and Nash -- with Mia fearing Diddy " was going to kill" the stylist. Mia said she also tried to intervene but was thrown against the wall -- at which point she "realized we were in real, real danger" -- before seeing Combs slam Ventura's head against a wooden platform. When Cassie's head began "gushing blood," Mia said Combs told her to call a doctor and say she hit her head drunk. She later added he didn't seem high at the time.
Mia also claimed she and Ventura snuck out of Diddy's home to attend a party thrown by Prince, only to have Combs show up. "Cass and I started running through the house to get out across the yard, trying to run and hide there," she claimed -- saying "Puff caught Cass, he caught up to her and had her and threw her to the ground and started to attack her," before Prince's security intervened. Mia said she was suspended without pay for insubordination the next day.
Court then broke for lunch.
Former Assistant "Mia" Testifies
Following Nash's testimony on Thursday, a woman using the pseudonym "Mia" took the stand, to talk about her time working as one of Combs' assistants.
She claimed Diddy was abusive to her as well, saying, "He's thrown things at me. He's thrown me against the wall, into a pool, ice bucket on my head, slammed my arms into a door. And he sexually assaulted me." Of the latter claim, she said he sexually assaulted her on more than one occasion.
Mia said she barely slept while working for Combs, saying she took it as a "challenge" -- and claiming the longest she stayed awake was five days. Calling the job "toxic" and "chaotic," she detailed some of her tasks as well, claiming Diddy could ask her to do everything from cracking his knuckles to doing his taxes. Per Mia, the job also included "a lot of getting cursed out and humiliated and berated."
She also said she could only leave his home "with Puff's permission" and was unable to lock her bedroom. Overall, she said she "didn't have time to feel" during the year she worked for him, saying it was "insane."
Speaking about Ventura, Mia claimed Diddy controlled everything about her career, from her appearance to which shows she'd perform. "He was in charge of it," she said of Ventura's looks in the film The Perfect Match, before claiming Combs also paid Cassie's credit card, while her homes and cars were under his company. Per Mia, Combs would take away cars, jewelry and support if he couldn't get a hold of her; she also claimed Diddy would "keep tabs" on Ventura through her.
Stylist Testimony Continues
On Thursday, stylist Deonte Nash returned to the stand for cross-examination. In one of his first statements of the day, he claimed he is the one who set up Cassie Ventura with actor Michael B. Jordan -- saying, "Yes, I did hook her up with Michael B. Jordan ... He fine, she fine. I mean, why not?" He added Ventura and Jordan began "Dating, talking, getting to know each other."
He also claimed Ventura was upset when Diddy started being seen with a woman known as "Gina," saying him being out with other women was "humiliating me and my career." He said Cassie, however, "wasn't pressed" about them being together. Per Nash, Ventura also dated Andre Branch.
Nash later claimed the freakoffs were kept a "secret" from him until about 2013 or 2014, when Ventura told him about them for the first time, claiming Combs was threatening to release footage of her with other men.
When asked about leaving Ventura's hotel room when she said another man was coming over, defense suggested it showed Nash didn't have any concerns about her safety. "I always did," he responded.
Defense also brought up a number of instances Nash texted Combs after he learned about the alleged abuse -- and after he stopped working with Diddy -- including one message in which, in 2020, he said he loved him.
Week 3, Wednesday
Stylist Says Diddy Threw Them Out, Threatened to Release Explicit Videos
On the stand Wednesday, Ventura's former stylist Deonte Nash testified to the moment he claims Combs was kicking Ventura out of her apartment, which Combs paid for. Nash said he was there at the time when Combs showed up saying he wanted to talk to Ventura.
According to Nash, they went to the bedroom for a period of time and when they returned, Combs allegedly "grabbed her by her hair and the back of her shirt and started pushing her out," all the while telling her to get out of his house, which Nash took to mean this apartment.
He claimed that Combs was also manhandling him out of the house, and so he and Ventura went down to her car. Combs followed him, according to Nash's testimony, and "began to berate us both and he finally let us go."
But they weren't gone long, per Nash, before Combs called Ventura and told them to pull over. He then came up to the window and began threatening to release explicit videos of Ventura, according to Nash.
He testified that Combs told them he would "release them on schedule," starting by sending them to Ventura's parents' jobs. Nash said that Combs told Ventura he was "the only one that protected her."
As they finally drove away, per Nash, with Ventura in tears, he testified that he told her to just let Combs release the tapes because he would be in them, too. That's when he says he learned about the "freak off" sessions, and that Combs was not in many of the videos.
Nash said on the stand that Ventura told him she didn't want to have sex with other men, but did it "because Puff wanted her to."
He said that she would pack up for a hotel stay with Combs about once a week, taking a black duffel bag with sex toys. She purportedly told Nash she didn't want to go, but did "because he wanted her to." He recalled an argument on Ventura's 29th birthday, claiming he heard Combs lamenting that he did everything for her, but she couldn't do "this one thing." When asked about it, Nash said Ventura told him Combs was made "because I don't want to go to the hotel and 'Freak Off' with him."
On the stand, Nash was asked how he feels about Combs now. He said that he and Ventura are still close and speak pretty often, but he doesn't "hate" Combs. "I mean I don't," he said, "It's just not in me." He'd previously said he had not wanted to testify against his former boss, with whom he said he still keeps in touch, occasionally texting or by phone.
He also testified that he and Ventura had not shared "the substance of their testimony" before their respective appearances during this trial.

Stylist Says Diddy Attacked Cassie 'In a Rage'
It was sometime around 2013 or 2014, according to stylist Deonte Nash, that he witnessed Combs "in a rage" attack Ventura while he was helping her pack for a trip.
According to Nash's testimony, he answered the door when Combs arrived as Ventura was asleep. He said the rapper came in yelling at her for not answering her phone and he watched Combs allegedly "grab her by the hair and pull her off the couch and start hitting her."
Nash testified that he, Ventura, and Combs' assistant identified as "Mia" for this trial all ran into Ventura's bedroom, but were unable to keep him out. He corroborated Ventura's previous testimony by saying he witnessed Combs hitting and kicking her until she hit her head on the bed frame, leading to a scar on her eyebrow.
He stated that both he and "Mia" jumped on Combs' back during this attack, but he threw them off. He said Combs did not stop until he noticed that Ventura was bleeding, saying, "When he noticed the blood he just panicked," allegedly telling the trio, "Look what y'all made me do."
He said he tried to call 911 but was told to hang up before it connected, though he said he doesn't remember who told him not to call. Nash said Combs told him his bodyguard would take Ventura to a plastic surgeon.
He testified that he noticed a gash on Ventura's forehead near her eyebrow and stitches on a video call the day after the alleged attack.
On the stand, Nash said he "quite often" saw bruises on Ventura, including a black eye ahead of The Perfect Match premiere in 2016. He detailed an alleged incident outside a music studio in 2015 where he claims he witnessed Combs slap Ventura across the face and say, "get this b---h out of here."
Despite allegedly witnessing multiple instances of violence, Nash said he never reported anything for fear of retaliation. He did testify that he spoke to Combs' chief of staff Kristina Khorram about the violence, and she told him she'd speak to Combs about it -- but it continued.
Nash recalled another incident where he says Combs came to his house looking for Ventura, who he'd previously dropped off so she could catch a cab. Nash said Combs searched the whole house ("He looked in the oven -- I don't know why he looked in the oven") before taking Nash's phone when Ventura called from a nearby hotel, and then demanded that Nash go with him there.
According to Nash's testimony, when Ventura's chief of staff, Toni Fletcher, and a security guard made their way to her room, she told them she was going to "go over the balcony" and began to walk toward it.
He said that he spent that night in a different hotel as he "didn’t think my home was safe to go to that night" after shaking off what he thought might have been a tail by Combs while driving. When he returned to his house the next day, he testified that his backpack, his ID, $1000 in cash, and his iPad had been stolen.
Cassie's Friend & Former Stylist Takes Stand
From 2008 to 2018, Deonte Nash said that he worked for Combs, starting as an intern in the fashion department at Bad Boy Entertainment before eventually becoming a stylist.
He said that while working with Ventura as a stylist, they became "very close." He corroborated previous testimony about the level of control Combs had over her look when he testified that he had to send all photos of her outfits to Combs for approval. Combs would then pick the one he liked, with Nash saying that was "usually the one we went with."
One one occasion, Nash testified that he joined Ventura at a party in 2014 after he'd styled her hair down -- a look he described as "bomb" on the stand. He said that upon arrival, Combs grabbed him by the jacket and lifted him up to tell him her hair needed to be up.
Nash said he asked people for hairpins and had Ventura go to a bathroom with staff to get her hair up. According to his testimony, Combs then touted that he was right, "it does look better."
He stated on the stand that he heard Combs threaten Ventura on multiple occasions, including that he would not release her music "anytime she did something he didn’t like," or would get her parents fired from their jobs. Nash also testified that Combs threatened to send sexually explicit videos of Ventura to her parents.
Despite a 10-record deal with Bad Boy, Ventura only ever released one album in 2006. Nash testified that Combs told her in 2013 that if her mixtape RockaByeBaby did well as a free release, he'd put it on streaming platforms. Nash said it was the top mixtape of the year, but it was never sold online.
When asked how much of Ventura's produced music was ever released, Nash -- who said he was often with her in the studio -- testified that it was about "10 percent," and that estimate was "generous."
At one point, he said he heard Combs tell her he would "beat her a--." He said that Ventura would become "super emotional" after these incidents, and sometimes "just stay in the house for days and go in a cocoon."
Ventura had previously testified that Nash had witnessed at least one physical attack, which caused her to cut her eyebrow, leaving a permanent scar. She stated that Nash jumped on Combs' back in her defense.

View StoryDefense Seeks Mistrial ... Is Denied
In a shocking moment in court on Wednesday morning, defense attorneys for Combs called for a mistrial in the case, citing prosecutorial misconduct.
Defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro stated that some of the prospective jurors had said during jury selection they believed Combs could buy his way out of this whole situation. They added that testimony about fingerprint evidence being destroyed would leave the jury with the implication Combs could have had something to do with it.
"This type of conspiracy theory is out there, and the type of implication we believe these questions were designed to create plays right into that," Shapiro argued, saying that the prosecution had created this "outrageous prejudice."
Judge Arun Subramanian denied the motion, but said he would give the jury a curative instruction on the matter and strike the testimony about the fingerprint cards (see below) from the record. Shapiro said that the jury would still be left with the same impression, even with the testimony stricken from the record.

Los Angeles Fire Department arson investigator Lance Jiminez was called on to look into the 2012 fire that destroyed Mescudi's Porsche on January 9, 2012. In court on Wednesday, he testified that he found a cut in the canvas of the roof of the vehicle and burn markings on the seats, center console, interior roofing, and carpet.
"There was a bottle on the front seat and there was like a cloth, a handkerchief, on the center console that was burned," he testified of finding what's been described as a Molotov cocktail inside the vehicle, as well as a disposable lighter outside the car, which Jiminez said he found a couple of feet from the driver's side.
Despite the device being described as a Molotov cocktail, Jiminez said that he did not observe any where near the kind of catastrophic damage to the Porsche that one would normally be able to see from a fully functional Molotov. That said, he did note the car suffered "severe damage."
He explained that it is his belief the the damage was less than expected because the cloth fell out of the bottle and the bottle didn't shatter, which meant it only caused a smoldering fire rather than an incendiary reaction.
Had it exploded, he said that the car -- which was parked just feet from the house -- would have likely created a fire that would have spread to nearby foliage and ultimately the house itself.
Jiminez stated that the bottle, cloth, and lighter were sent off for DNA testing, but only the bottle came back with results: a partial DNA profile consistent with a female contributor. He said he was unable to speculate what that might mean as he has no expertise in DNA testing or analysis.

MGK Makes Rare Fatherhood Comments After Welcoming Daughter with Megan Fox
View StoryA black glove was found in the backseat, but Mescudi told Jiminez at the time that it was his driving glove, and so it was not sent out for DNA testing. The defense asked if it was possible the person who targeted the car wore a glove, and Jiminez conceded that it was, but it was impossible to say for sure one way or the other.
Based on the evidence, Jiminez testified that it his belief that Mescudi's Porsche was targeted for attack. He said the vehicle was not easibly visible from the street and located in an affluent neighborhood with low crime statistics. Also, another vehicle parked in the same driveway was not damaged in any way.
One portion of Jiminez's testimony is to be disregarded by the jury, after a defense objection. Jiminez had stated that there were fingerprint cards recovered from the glass door after the alleged break-in at Mescudi's house. As part of his own investigation, he collected those cards to compare with anything he might find.
Jiminez testified that the print card that was kept with the evidence from his arson case was destroyed in August 2012, despite that he usually has to sign off on any evidence destruction if he is the lead investigator on it.
The defense objected, with attorney Marc Agnifilo stating, "They were suggesting to this jury that someone in this courtroom had something to do with the improper and suspicious destruction of these fingerprints."
He further stated that he sought to interview possible witnesses connected to Combs, but was met with silence at every turn. In particular, Jiminez testified he tried to interview Ventura and Combs' personal assistant Capricorn Clark, but they never returned his calls or answered the door when investigators knocked.
In the case of Clark, Jiminez said on the stand that her brother aggressively told him on the phone at one point that she did not want to help with the investigation: "She wanted nothing to do with me, nothing to do with the investigation."

View StoryOfficer Responding to Kid Cudi's Home Testifies
The first witness to take the stand on Wednesday was Christopher Ignacio, an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. He testified that he responded to Mescudi's home on the morning Combs is accused of breaking into it after finding out about his relationship with Ventura.
Responding to a possible burglary call at 8:20 a.m., Ignacio said he noticed a black Escalade parked outside Mescudi's home when he and his partner pulled up. That vehicle took off as they pulled up with lights and sirens on it behind it.
He testified they did not pursue as there was no crime at that point, but they did take note of the license plate. When he ran the plate, he said it tied back to Bad Boy Productions, Inc. He was unable to see who was in the vehicle.
When Ignacio and his partner entered Mescudi's home, he said they found several high-end watches and Christmas gifts -- some opened and some not -- before Mescudi himself arrived and filed a trespassing report, corroborating Mescudi's previous testimony that gifts he'd purchased for his family had been opened. Ignacio described Mescudi on the scene as "flustered, real flustered."
On cross-examination he said that he could not recall if a gun was ever mentioned, but confirmed one was not mentioned in his incident report. There was also no report of any property stolen and the incident was not reported as a burglary.

Ex-Creative Director's Concerns with Cassie
Former assistant-turned-director-of-marketing Capricorn Clark opened up about her evolving relationship with Ventura through the years she worked for Combs, and especially when she took over as Ventura's creative director in 2016. She testified that already by 2008, she and Ventura were starting to have some issues.
"She got a little bit more bravado as being his girlfriend, the longer it lasted," Clark said in court. "She went from being more (of) a sweet model to a feisty girlfriend."
When asked if she thought Ventura was very talented, Clark said, "I think she had talent and was a very beautiful girl," while also noting that she wasn't a great live performer.
She called Ventura not a Whitney- or Mariah-level talent, but more of a studio artist, per NBC News, who needed her voice "equalized" and "engineered."
By the time she returned to work more directly with Ventura in 2016, she said the singer's increased drug "use was preventing her from the opportunities that were before us." Clark testified that she saw both Combs and Cassie's drug use increase over the years she was professionally involved with them.
Despite all of this, Clark testified that she feels Combs gave more attention and resources to Ventura than other artists signed to his label -- especially in the earlier years of their relationship from 2007 to 2010. She said that from her perspective, "the lion's share of Bad Boy was on Cassie in that first block of time."
And she felt that Ventura continued to get the same level of support as the years progressed as artists who were breaking out much bigger than her, like Machine Gun Kelly and French Montana.
Throughout, Clark maintained that Combs had complete and total control of Ventura's career. She testified that his approval was needed for everything from her songs to her appearances and every look. When the couple was fighting, Clark said he would pull back his support.

View StoryEx-Employee Kept Returning
After her firing and subsequent settlement in 2012, Capricorn Clark would return again to Combs' employ, this time to work as Ventura's creative director from 2016 until 2018, citing that she was having difficulty finding employment.
The defense confronted Clark with emails she purportedly sent to Combs in 2014 and 2015 asking him to forgive her. CNN reports she "broke into sobs" as she looked at these. She had previously said on the stand she felt like Combs' "protector," as he didn't have anyone on his staff looking out for him without her.
Digging a little deeper into her 2012 firing and the challenges she had finding work after, Clark said that as part of the settlement she and Combs reached, there was a mutual non-disparagement clause. It also purportedly stipulated that he write her a letter of recommendation, which she said he never did.
After that, she said she couldn't get another job in the industry. She claimed that executives from Interscope Records told her to leave Combs alone or it wouldn't end well for her, but the judge sustained a defense objection, striking it from the record. The judge also sustained an objection to her claim that she felt "blacklisted" in the industry.
"At this level of business, he holds all the power as it related to me," Clark said of Combs on the stand, saying that she turned to consulting work to get by.
On cross-examination, Clark additionally acknowledged that she again met with Combs' team about possibly returning to his employment as recently as last year.
On April 10, 2024, the defense noted that defense attorney Marc Agnifilo was in the room, alongside Teny Geragos and Jonathan Davis, another Combs attorney, when Clark brought attorney Bryan Freedman -- representing Justin Baldoni in his ongoing case with Blake Lively -- and a friend with her to discuss her possible return.
In court, Agnifilo asked if Clark could confirm she said in that meeting that Combs "wouldn't be in this mess if he had kept [her] around." Clark said she probably did say something along those lines as she was seeking the position of chief of staff.
She also acknowledged that while her relationship with Combs was "1000%" platonic, she did admit to texting him in June 2021.
The defense read, "Did you ever know that I had the biggest crush on you before I started to work for you? We hung out all the time, I played it super cool. I don't think you knew. I just knew for sure that you liked to have me around."
Clark testified she doesn't remember messaging or saying that, but acknowledges reaching out to him at that time. There was no suggestion as to how Combs may or may not have responded.

After exiting Combs' employ as a personal assistant, Capricorn Clark said she agreed to return in a new role as director of marketing for his Sean John women's line because she would not be in "close proximity" with him. She also, at this time, found herself in 2011 serving as Ventura's creative director.
It was also around this time that both Ventura and Mescudi testified they began their relationship. Mescudi said that he was unaware Ventura was still romantically involved with Combs when their relationship began.
Clark testified she was "very concerned" about Combs discovering Ventura's relationship with Mescudi. She said that at one point Ventura had texted her asking if they could pick up Mescudi, and she quickly replied for her to delete the message as Combs paid for both of their phones.
She then detailed a frightening encounter with Combs she said happened after he found out. She said he showed up at her house, pounding on her door on December 22, 2011, and when she looked out the peephole, she noticed his pants were split so far up the inseam, his underwear was visible.
When she opened the door, Clark testified that Combs was furious and had a gun as he asked her, "Why didn't you tell me?" She said he then told her to "get dressed, we're going to kill" Mescudi. "The gun was in his hand."
When she tried to protest, Clark said Combs told her, "I don't give a f--k what you want to do, go get dressed."
"I had never seen him with a weapon, I had never seen him making me do something like this," Clark testified, saying this was his first time at her home and he was "livid, furious, mad at me."
She denied on cross-examination that she ever told a Homeland Security investigator that Combs had a building security guard with him when he allegedly took her from her home to confront Mescudi. She testified that Combs demanded a security guard let him into the building, but that was as far as that went ... and the guard was fired shortly thereafter.

View StoryClark then corroborated previous testimony that she called Ventura from the car while Combs was inside Mescudi's house with a security guard. She testified on cross-examination that she did not know how he gained access to the house because their backs were to her and she wasn't paying that close of attention as she was "praying that Cudi wasn't inside there."
Clark said said she called Ventura on one of the burner phones she had purchased to try and protect herself and Ventura from Combs finding out about the relationship with Mescudi.
Clark testified hearing "he's in my house?" in the background when she told Ventura what was going on, at which point Ventura told her she was with Mescudi. When she found out Mescudi wanted to come confront Combs, Clark said she urged Ventura to keep him away.
"Cassie, stop him, he’s going to come get himself killed," she said, per her testimony, but Ventura said she couldn't stop him.
After Combs got back in the car, he allegedly confronted Clark about who she'd been talking to. Not recognizing Ventura's burner phone number, she said he asked, "B---h, what the f--k is this number?"
Clark said that Mescudi briefly pulled up to the house before driving off again. Combs, who was driving away from the house, spotted Mescudi going the other way, according to Clark, and gave chase -- only stopping when they heard sirens that sounded like they were heading to Mescudi's house.
On cross-examination, Clark said she declined to speak with arson investigators who reached out to her in 2018 because, "I wanted this whole thing to be over." Mescudi had testified that he believes Combs was behind a molotov cocktail being dropped in his Porsche after the alleged break-in. Clark testified she never discussed any arson incident involving Mescudi with Combs.
After the alleged break-in, Clark said Combs told her that she and Ventura needed to convince Mescudi not to tell police Combs was involved in the break-in at his house: "If you guys don’t convince him of that, I’ll kill all you."
Later, when Ventura and Clark went together to Combs' home, Clark said the mogul came out in a robe and underwear and "immediately began kicking Cassie." Clark said that she and a security guard stood by as it happened, with Combs allegedly saying he'd hurt Clark if she tried to stop him.
As the alleged abuse was happening, Clark said she was told by the guard to leave. She testified that as she left the property, she called Ventura's mother Regina and told her, "He's beating the s--t out of your daughter. I'm in over my head. Please help her. I can’t call the police, but you can." Regina purportedly told her she would handle it.
Clark said she reported being kidnapped from her home and Combs' threats to kill Mescudi -- as well as the alleged beating of Ventura -- to human resources and Harve Pierre, former president of Bad Boy Records.
According to Clark, Pierre replied, "That's crazy, but it's going to be okay."
As Clark continued her employment with Bad Boy following these incidents, Combs purportedly continued to angrily ask her why she didn't tell him about Ventura and Mescudi. At one point, she said on the stand, he told her, "I should kill you b---hes, and I should cut her face."
She estimated she was threatened about 50 times between December 2011 and the following summer. In August 2012, she said she was fired after complaining that Combs was sending her work while on vacation. Clark said she told HR he was mad at her because she "didn’t tell him his girlfriend was cheating on him."
She was subsequently fired, she testified, for improperly taking vacation. Afterward, she said Combs had one more threat for her, telling, her "that I would never work again, that he would show me that all these people weren’t my friends, that he would make me kill myself."
In the fall of 2012, she said she received a settlement through Combs' attorneys over wrongful termination allegations. She did not disclose the amount.

The annual salary for former personal-assistant-turned-director-of-marketing Capricorn Clark's work as a P.A. was $60,000, during which she testified she was expected to work from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. with no breaks for food. She said she got about four hours of sleep a night and developed stress-induced alopecia.
She also recalled once receiving an invoice from a human resources rep for Bad Boy that stated she was owed $80,000 for overtime over a three-month period. According to Clark, Combs "ripped up the paper" and never paid her the overtime.
It was the summer of 2006 when she finally reached her breaking point over one weekend at his Miami home. Clark said that she she arrived, he told her that no matter what happened that weekend, "You are not to leave this house."
He then told her to escort a guest to another location in Miami, which she stated she did. But she stayed there for about an hour, which resulted in a call from Combs asking where she was.
When she returned, Clark said he told her, "See, your problem is you want a life, and you can’t have that here." He reiterated, per her testimony, that she was not to leave the house.
Things escalated immediately the following day when Clark said she told a chef, "I hate it here," and the chef told Combs. "He immediately looked at me and said, ‘You hate it here?’" she recalled. "And he charged me."
She testified that Combs pushed her about 30 yards physically while demanding she get out of his house. Eventually, a security guard told Combs to stop, she testified, and told her to pack her belongings. She said she left after this because the physical incident "was crossing my boundary."

Another former employee of Combs was the first witness as the third week of testimony kicked off Tuesday morning. Capricorn Clark was mentioned by Mescudi, when he said she seemed "very scared" sitting outside while Combs and his associates were allegedly inside Mescudi's home.
"She was forced to go along with them over there," Mescudi testified, saying that Clark was on the phone while in the car outside. Mescudi alleged that Combs broke into his home and moved things around after he found out about his relationship with Ventura.
On the stand, Clark said that her career in the music industry began right after high school, shortly before both parents died, when she worked first for Def Jam, then Suge Knight's Death Row Records before in August 2004 she started working for Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment.
Clark testified that Combs threatened her life on her very first day after he discovered her work history with Knight, allegedly taking her to Central Park with one of his security guards after 9 p.m.
"He told me that he didn’t know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and if anything happened, he would have to kill me," she testified. She said the guard stood by and said nothing. She also said her response was, "We'll just have to see."
Clark started as his personal assistant before working her way up to the position of director of marketing and ultimately global brand director by 2008 before her termination in 2012. After that, she said she worked for Ventura as her creative director from 2016 to 2018, which coincided with the end of Ventura's relationship with Combs.

Everything Cassie Said About 'Freak Offs,' Violence, Blackmail and More at Diddy Trial
View StoryClark recalled one instance where Combs allegedly mentioned guns, testifying that it came while she was working as his personal assistant on an elevator after an MTV event that also involved 50 Cent. Combs was allegedly talking about their alleged then-feud when he said, "I don't like all the back and forth. I don't do that; I like guns." Clark said he sounded very serious.
She detailed another instance where she said she was allegedly threatened, this time accusing her of stealing diamond jewelry on loan from a jeweler. Clark said she'd been assigned to hold it when it came up missing before they arrived at the airport.
As Combs went on to Miami, Clark said she was picked her up from her home the next day and taken to a locked and vacant office space with a man who gave her a lie detector test. She said the man told her if she failed, "they're going to throw you into the East River."
For five days she testified she had to return to take this test again, with each session lasting about eight hours. She said she was strapped in at 10 a.m. and wouldn't finish until 5 or 6 p.m.. Clark said that after each test, the results would be taken for review and she had to keep taking them until Combs finally cleared her after five days and about 40 hours.
Afterward, she was allowed to return to work. Combs never mentioned the tests, she stated, nor did she ever find out if the jewelry was found.
Confirming prior testimony, Clark stated that Combs used the aliases Frank Black or Frank White for travel reservations. It was her responsibility when he traveled to unpack his clothes and shoes. He also traveled with a toiletry bag that contained drugs and a camera box that contained four cameras, a small bottle of baby oil, and a small bottle of lube, according to Clark's testimony.
She testified witnessing Combs doing ecstasy and molly about once a week, along with prescription medications -- sometimes made out to her name and sometimes to his. He also allegedly offered drugs to friends and girlfriends.
This usage increased over time, per Clark's testimony, with Combs utilizing a man called "One Stop" to provide drugs when he was in Los Angeles. She said the drugs were generally delivered to her or Combs directly.
