It's been 35 years since a pair of ghosts called on a "bio-exorcist" to rid their home of humans -- including the "strange and unusual" Lydia Deetz and her two parents.

Michael Keaton (Beetlejuice): Keaton re-teamed with director Tim Burton for Batman and Batman Returns and will reprise that role in the upcoming Flash movie. He went on to star in Multiplicity, Spotlight and The Founder, lent his voice to Ken for the Toy Story movies and was nominated for an Oscar for his work in Birdman. He recently won an Emmy for Dopesick and played Vulture in both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Morbius. He's also expected to return for a Beeteljuice sequel alongside Winona Ryder and possibly Jenna Ortega.

Winona Ryder (Lydia): Ryder would re-team with Burton for Edward Scissorhands and Frankenweenie and is expected to reprise her role as Lydia in a Beetlejuice sequel, with Jenna Ortega possibly playing her daughter. Post-Beetlejuice, Ryder starred in Heathers, Black Swan, and received an Oscar nomination for Little Women. She was famously arrested on shoplifting charges in 2001 and was convicted of grand theft, shoplifting and vandalism. Ryder currently starts on the Netflix hit Stranger Things.

Geena Davis (Barbara): Geena won an Oscar for The Accidental Tourist and a Golden Globe for her role on the TV show Commander in Chief. She also won acclaim for Thelma & Louise and A League of Their Own. She was married to director Renny Harlin from 1993-1998 and has 3 kids with ex-husband Reza Jarrahy. She launched the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, which aims to increase gender equality in Hollywood ... and was a semifinalist for the U.S. Olympic archery team in 1999.

Alec Baldwin (Adam): Alec starred in The Getaway, The Hunt for Red October and lent his voice to the Oscar-nominated The Boss Baby. Baldwin was praised for his recurring performance as Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live during the 2016 presidential campaign and also starred on 30 Rock. He shares daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger and seven with wife Hilaria. In 2023, he pleaded not guilty to manslaughter charges in the accidental shooting death of Halyna Hutchins, who was killed by a gun fired by Baldwin while rehearing a scene on the set of his film "Rust."

Catherine O'Hara (Delia): Catherine re-teamed with Burton for A Nightmare Before Christmas"-- which he produced -- and Frankenweenie and also starred in the first two Home Alone films and a number of Christopher Guest movies including Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman. She most recently starred as Moira Rose on Schitt's Creek, winning an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG Award and six Canadian Screen Awards. She'll also voice a character in the upcoming Pixar film Elemental.

Jeffrey Jones (Charles): Jones re-teamed with Burton for Ed Wood and Sleepy Hollow, and also appeared in films such as Stuart Little, Sleepy Hollow and Who's Your Caddy? In 2003, he pleaded no contest to soliciting a minor after paying a 14-year-old boy to pose for explicit photographs. He was sentenced to five years probation and was required to register as a sex offender. Jones was later sentenced to 2 years probation and 250 hours of community service in 2010 for failing to register as a sex offender. He starred on Deadwood after his arrest, as well as appeared in Deadwood: The Movie.

Sylvia Sidney (Juno): Sylvia would also star in Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! and the 1998 version of Fantasy Island. She died of throat cancer at the age of 88 in 1999.

Glenn Shadix (Otho): Glenn voiced the Mayor in A Nightmare Before Christmas and also starred in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. He also appeared in Heathers -- which starred Winona Ryder -- and on the HBO show Carnivale. Shadix died in 2010 after falling in his Alabama home.

Tim Burton (Director): Tim's movies have made millions, including The Nightmare Before Christmas -- which he produced -- Batman, Batman Returns, Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Both Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie were nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, while he won acclaim for films including Big Eyes, Big Fish and Sweeney Todd. Burton is also an executive producer on Wednesday and directed four episodes in the first season. He's reportedly eyeing Jenna Ortega to play Lydia's daughter in a Beetlejuice sequel. He was previously married to Lisa Marie and Helena Bonham Carter, sharing two children with the latter.
