82 women united Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival to protest the lack of movies directed by female filmmakers to be screened in the festival's Palme d’Or competition. So far, 82 films have been directed by women, in contrast to 1,645 directed by men. Kristen Stewart, Ava DuVernay, Cate Blanchett and director Agnes Varda were among those linking arms in solidarity before a screening of "Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)" at the 71st annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
