It's been quite the mixed bag for the cast of Smallville, with some finding continued success on television -- while others like Allison Mack have made recent headlines for truly vile (and criminal) behavior. On the 20th anniversary of the show's premiere, here's what they're all up to now!

Tom Welling (Clark Kent): During his time on Smallville, Welling also starred in the Cheaper By the Dozen movies and The Fog. He'd later star in Parkland and The Choice, before returning to television on Lucifer in 2017. He reprised his Clark Kent role on an episode of Batwoman in 2019. Welling was married to Jamie White from 2002-2015, before marrying Jessica Rose Lee in 2019. The two have two sons.

Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang): Sick of being in a love triangle, Kreuk left the show full-time after the seventh season -- but returned as a special guest star in Season 8. She later appeared on Chuck and starred on both Beauty & The Beast and Burden of Truth. She also starred in Eurotrip and played the titular role in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. In 2018, after costar Allison Mack's arrest, she revealed she was briefly a member of the NXIVM cult, but never saw anything illegal.

Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor): Rosenbaum left after the show's seventh season as well, but returned as a special guest for the final season. He also starred in Sorority Boys, Cursed, the TV series Impastor and has done a ton of DC voice work. He currently hosts a podcast called Inside of You, on which Welling was the first guest.

Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan): After Smallville, Mack became heavily involved in the NXIVM sex cult and was one of founder Keith Raniere's top recruits for the organization. She was arrested on charges of sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy. In 2021, Mack was sentenced to three years in prison and a $20,000 fine after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and racketeering charges associated with the cult.

Sam Jones III (Pete Ross): After Smallville, Jones appeared on ER and Blue Mountain State. In 2011, he was sentenced to time in federal prison after getting arrested as part of a DEA sting operation. He served 10 months behind bars after pleading guilty to conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills of Oxycodone.

Annette O'Toole (Martha Kent): Following Smallville, O'Toole appeared on Halt and Catch Fire, The Punisher, Kidding and currently stars on Virgin River. She also got into performing -- and even did a gig alongside husband Michael McKean's faux band Spinal Tap.

John Schneider (Jonathan Kent): Jonathan Kent was killed off in the show's fifth season. He went on to appear on Nip/Tuck, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Dirty Sexy Money, the 90210 reboot and The Haves and the Have Nots. He's also continued to release music. In 2018, he did three days in jail after failing to pay more than $150k in back spousal support to his ex wife, Elvira. The spousal support case is ongoing.

Erica Durance (Lois Lane): Durance joined the show in the fourth season and was a main cast member through the end. She went on to do a ton of TV movies, reprised her Lois role in a Arrowverse crossover event with Tom, appeared on Supergirl and starred on Saving Hope. She and her husband David Puffy have two sons.

Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow): Hartley later starred on Revenge, Mistresses and The Young and the Restless before breaking out huge on This Is Us, on which he also sometimes directs. He shares a daughter with ex-wife Lindsay Korman, married Chrishell Stause in 2017, before they split in 2019. He married Sofia Pernas in 2021.

Laura Vandervoort (Kara Zor-El/Supergirl): Vandervoort later starred on the V reboot, Bitten and has appeared on multiple episodes of Supergirl and V Wars. She's done a number of TV films and appeared in both Ted and Jigsaw.

Jensen Ackles (Jason Teague): After he wrapped on Smallville, he went on to star on Supernatural as Dean Winchester for a solid 15 years. He also starred in the remake of My Bloody Valentine and has done voice work for DC. He'll appear on Season 3 of The Boys as Soldier Boy. Ackles married Danneel Harris in 2010 and the two share three children.

John Glover (Lionel Luthor): Glover would later appear on episodes of The Good Wife, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Evil and Fear the Walking Dead. He also appeared in Shazam -- and made headlines when, during an interview on Michael Rosenbaum's podcast, revealed he had sex with Freddie Mercury back in the day.

Eric Johnson (Whitney Fordman): Johnson later played the titular role on the short-lived Flash Gordon TV series from 2007-08, before starring on Rookie Blue, The Knick and Vikings. He most recently appeared on American Gods and played Jack Hyde in the Fifty Shades movies. He's married to and shares a child with Adria Budd, who also worked on Smallville.
