Run the World star Andrea Bordeaux says she was "fired" from the Starz series for refusing to comply with the Covid vaccine mandate. The actress -- who played Ella in Season 1 of Run the World -- denied a report claiming that she chose to exit the series over the required vaccine mandate and said that Lionsgate, the show’s production company, "made no efforts to find a workable solution. I was fired. My heart is with all of the people around the world who feel that they are losing so much due to their choice to stand in their convictions and to honor their deepest core beliefs. …"

General Hospital star Steve Burton was fired for refusing to comply with the vaccination mandate. "I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions and both of those were denied, which hurts, but this is also about personal freedom to me," he said. "I don't think anyone should lose their livelihood over this." His character was last seem in a tunnel collapse, but Burton said that should the mandate lift, he could return.

General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher was also fired after he refused to comply with the show's vaccination mandate, which went into effect November 2021. He later sued ABC for firing him over the mandate.

9-1-1 star Rockmuod Dunbar was swiftly written off the show after failing to meet exemption requirements for the show's vaccine mandate. "Zone A personnel who do not confirm their vaccination status and do not meet the criteria for exemption will not be eligible to work," said 20th Television. Dunbar added, "I applied for religious and medical accommodations pursuant to the law and unfortunately was denied by my employer. My sincerely held beliefs and private medical history are very intimate and personal aspects of my life that I do not publicly discuss and have no desire to start now."
