Robert Downey Jr. reportedly congratulated Johnny Depp following his win in the defamation trial against Amber Heard, according to the New York Post. Per the outlet, Depp's close friend Josh Richman cited the FaceTime conversation during a charity live stream event for Children's Hospital Los Angeles. During the apparent call, which included a group of Depp supporters, Downey Jr. told Depp: "John, thank God it’s over." A spokesperson for Depp confirmed the FaceTime conversation to The Post, sharing that RDJ called Depp following the announcement of the trial's verdict.

Elon Musk shared a short statement on May 27 following the trial's closing arguments. The Tesla CEO -- who was mentioned at several points during the trial due to his past relationship with Amber Heard -- replied to a tweet written by MIT research scientist Lex Fridman. In response to Fridman's post, in which he shared his "takeaways" from the trial, Musk wrote, "I hope they both move on. At their best, they are each incredible."

Kate Moss testified via video link on May 25, 2022, to dispute a rumor Amber Heard brought up during the trial. Heard claimed she heard Depp had pushed the supermodel down the stairs once during their relationship. In her testimony, Moss said there was one incident where she fell down the stairs during a rainstorm in Jamaica -- but Depp was ahead of her when it happened. "I screamed because I didn't know what had happened to me and I was in pain and he came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention," she said, adding that Depp "never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs."
