The Dune universe is continuing to expand as HBO has renewed Dune: Prophecy for a second season. The series follows two Harkonnen sisters who establish a sect that becomes known as Bene Gesserit. Their journey is filled with challenges that can threaten the human race's future. Season two will continue world-building and enhancing the Dune universe. The season one finale is set to air December 2024, details for season two proudction have not been shared.

Hulu has renewed its drama series, Tell Me Lies, for a third season. The show follows a time jump format, centering around a couple who met in college and have a relationship filled with conflict and emotions for the next eight years. Grace Van Patten stars as Lucy Albright, and her boyfriend Stephen DeMarco is played by Jackson White. The first two seasons revolved around the the couple's beginning, and season three is most likely to start with a time skip and then wrap up the remaining moments from their first year.

Girls5Eva has been cancelled by Netflix. This is the comedy's second time being cancelled, as the show was picked up by Netflix after being axed by Peacock. Busy Philipps, who starred on the show, reacted on Instagram, writing, "well. 2024 sure has been a f--king heartbreak. Some more painful than others, tbh. I am forever grateful for this incredible show and these girls that became my sisters5eva... I honestly don't know how or what i would be without this show and the endless joy it brought me in the darkest time of my life. "

Paramount+ has renewed The Mayor of Kingstown for a fourth season. The series follows Mike McLusky, played by Jeremy Renner, who is the unofficial mayor and problem solver of Kingstown, Michigan. Season three was significant both on and off camera. The exciting story line featured the threat of a Russian mob and prison drug wars, and it was also Renner's first project following his near-fatal snow mobile accident in Janurary 2023. Season four will continue to feature McLusky as he weilds his power over the town.
