The Dune universe is continuing to expand as HBO has renewed Dune: Prophecy for a second season. The series follows two Harkonnen sisters who establish a sect that becomes known as Bene Gesserit. Their journey is filled with challenges that can threaten the human race's future. Season two will continue world-building and enhancing the Dune universe. The season one finale is set to air December 2024, details for season two proudction have not been shared.
Hulu has renewed its drama series, Tell Me Lies, for a third season. The show follows a time jump format, centering around a couple who met in college and have a relationship filled with conflict and emotions for the next eight years. Grace Van Patten stars as Lucy Albright, and her boyfriend Stephen DeMarco is played by Jackson White. The first two seasons revolved around the the couple's beginning, and season three is most likely to start with a time skip and then wrap up the remaining moments from their first year.
Girls5Eva has been cancelled by Netflix. This is the comedy's second time being cancelled, as the show was picked up by Netflix after being axed by Peacock. Busy Philipps, who starred on the show, reacted on Instagram, writing, "well. 2024 sure has been a f--king heartbreak. Some more painful than others, tbh. I am forever grateful for this incredible show and these girls that became my sisters5eva... I honestly don't know how or what i would be without this show and the endless joy it brought me in the darkest time of my life. "
Paramount+ has renewed The Mayor of Kingstown for a fourth season. The series follows Mike McLusky, played by Jeremy Renner, who is the unofficial mayor and problem solver of Kingstown, Michigan. Season three was significant both on and off camera. The exciting story line featured the threat of a Russian mob and prison drug wars, and it was also Renner's first project following his near-fatal snow mobile accident in Janurary 2023. Season four will continue to feature McLusky as he weilds his power over the town.
Amazon Prime has renewed its adult animated series, Secret Level, for a second season. Secret Level combines a variety of video games includings Dungeons and Dragons, Sifu, New World, Pac-Man and more to create a variety of original stories. The series brings on A-list actors to voice their characters with season one featuring the voices of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, Ariana Greenblatt, Keanu Reeves and more. The series had the largest animated debut on the platform compared to recent releases in the same genre.
Apple TV+ has renewed Bad Monkey, starring Vince Vaugh, for a second season. Based off of Carl Hiaasen’s novel, the series follows Andrew Yancy. Yancy works as health inspector in the Florida Keys after having to leave the Miami Police Department. He's put on a case that originates from a human arm being fished out by tourists, and he realizes that if he can prove a murder, he can become a cop again. The series creator, Bill Lawrence, explained he originally pitched the series with a three season arc, and season two will continue on Yancy's story.
Due to consistent shut downs, FX has cancelled The Old Man, starring Jeff Bridges. Season one paused filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then again for Jeff Bridge's cancer treatments. Season two faced complications due to the WAG strike, causing a two year gap between seasons. The series follows Dan Chase, an off the grid man facing his past with the CIA after an assasination attempt on his life. The story was one of FX's most-watched series during season one and it was nominated for Critics' Choice TV awards during season two. However, it was not enough to justify a third season.
The Kelly Clarkson show has been renewed for a seventh season for 2025-2026. The talk show continues to be a daytime success, as the sixth season has averaged 1.2 million viewers per day. Clarkson is both the host and executive producer, and she will continue to have an exciting line-up of guests and performances. “There’s an appetite in talk for stories that entertain and inspire, and The Kelly Clarkson Show is a shining star that delivers for our stations and connects with viewers across multiple generations in meaningful ways,” says Tracie Wilson, the EVP of Syndication Studios and E! News.
Netflix has renewed Ted Danson's A Man on the Inside for a second season less than a month after the show's premiere. Based off the Oscar-nominated documentary, The Mole Agent, Danson both produces and stars in the series as Charles. Charles is a retiree who's life changes when he answers an ad from a PI and wounds up as a mole in a secret investigation. Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in 2025 and will continue Charles' story.
Apple TV+ has renewed its post-apocalytpic drama, Silo, for a third and fourth season, with season four set to be its last. The series comes from Hugh Howey's Wool novel trilogy. With this renewal, the TV adaptation will be able to span the books. Silo follows characters in a mile-deep shelter home as they are told the earth's surface is toxic and deadly. The show specifically focuses on Juliette, played by Rebecca Ferguson, who learns clues to the deadly truth after a loved one's murder,
The classic sitcom Malcolm in the Middle is coming back, via Disney+. The streaming service has ordered a four episode revival, with Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek set to reprise their roles. Linwood Boomer, the original series creator, is behind the project. Per the official synopsis, "Malcolm (Muniz) and his daughter are drawn into the family's chaos when Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kaczmarek) demand his presence for their 40th wedding anniversary party."
Fox has renewed reality dating show, Farmer Wants a Wife, for a third season. While Kimberly Williams-Paisley will take over from Jennifer Nettles as host, the premise of helping young farmers find love remains the same. In season three, fans can look forward to a speed dating event in Alabama, a ball in Tennessee, and an overnight camping mixer in Texas. Families will also get to come to the farm to meet contestants for the first time ever. The season is set to return March 2025.

The announcement follows the series' international success, as it is the most watched Latin American production on its streaming platform and ranked top three worldwide during its premiere month. Based off the novel, the storyline follows protagonists who are in love but can't be together due to family rivalry. The show highlights magical realism, gastronomy and Mexican culture. Executive producer Salma Hayek Pinault shares the second season will give fans the closure they need.
After going off the air in 2010, a Scrubs reboot is in development at ABC and 20th Century Television. Bill Lawrence is attached to the project but -- due to his deal with Warner Bros. -- he will not be the official show-runner of the reboot. No original cast members are yet attached, though Deadline reports that they're hoping to secure Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and John C. McGinley.

Bel-Air has been renewed by Peacock for a fourth and final season. The streaming service has not released details about the final season's storyline, but it will continue to follow the premise of being a dramatic take on Will Smith's original show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Bravo has renewed Vanderpump Rules for Season 12, with some major changes. The network says the show will now feature Lisa Vanderpump “and a new group of close-knit SUR-vers.” Sources say Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies and Tom Schwartz, meanwhile, will appear on The Valley next season.

The streaming service has renewed the action series for a second season, and it will continue to follow the story of "The Jackal." Played by Eddy Redmayne, "The Jackal" is a high charging assassin who is being tracked down by a British Intelligence Officer, causing a suspenseful and destructive story line.
MGM+ has renewed "From" for a fourth season. The sci-fi drama holds a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is the most viewed show in the history of MGM+. The series follows a supernatural town that traps anyone who enters it. Season three addressed why the characters became trapped and season four will explain how they can escape. Creator John Griffin decided it as "the end of the beginning," but this does not necessarily mean good news for the show's characters.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off novelist, co-developer and executive producer Bryan Lee O’Malley shared on X that the animated series will not return for a second season. He explained even the first season was a struggle to make, involving "a lot of favors to make it happen, so making more would have been nearly impossible." O'Malley explained because they only expected one season, the production team poured all their ideas into the episodes they had, explaining, "We don’t have any ideas lying on the floor."

Hulu has renewed South Korean show "Moving" for a second season. The series is a part of the trend of growing appreication for South Korean media and was an international sensation. The series is based off of Kang Full's webtoon. Full is the producer and creator of the live adaptation that follows parents who are spies and trying to protect their children who have super powers from the corrupt governemnt. Dates for season 2 have not been provided yet.
"Stars Wars: Visions" has been greenlit for a third volume by Disney+. The next installment will include nine episodes and continue to involve a group of Japanese animation studios. The "Star Wars" spin-off, which initally launched in fall 2021, became a global sensation as studios were able to create franchise interpretations with minor guidelines. This situation lead to very creative story lines and animation styles. Season 2 included studios in multiple countries, but as on now, season 3 will primarily be produced in Japan.
Disney+ and Hulu have decided to continue producing "The Artful Dodger." The original Australian show has been renewed for a season two and filming will begin in 2025. Thomas Brodie-Sangster will return as Jack Dawkins, and main characters Fagin and Lady Belle Fox will continue their stories. "The Artful Dodger" is described as following Jack, who is based off of Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist," as he becomes an unlikely surgeon and caught between relationships in high society and his criminal past.
Netflix has renewed "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" for a second season. Season 2 will continue to follow Pip and Ravi as they discover more details about missing student Andie Bell. The plot thickens when a witness, Jamie Reynolds, disappears and Pip fights to find him and learn more about her notions of the world.
A month after its season two finale, Hulu has renewed legal drama series "Reasonable Doubt" for a third season. The series follows Jax Stewart, played by Emayatzy Corinealdi. Stewart is a top defense attorney in Los Angeles who is often questioned for her ethics and tactics. The last two seasons have followed her take on a murder case while also dealing with issues involving motherhood and her marriage. The shows producer Raamla Mohamed has signed a deal to stay on with the series and the production company 20th TV.
Netflix has renewed "America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders" for a second season. Season one became a Summer 2024 hit after spending five weeks in the Top 10 for U.S. TV Shows. The second season will follow the 2024-2025 season, starting at auditions and training camp and going all the way to the end of the Cowboys' season.
Netflix's "Outer Banks" has been renewed for a fifth and final season before the release of Season four, part two. Season four, part one spent three weeks in the top 10. The creators shared that the hunt for the Blue Crown, will be carried through to the last season. They anticipate season five to be their best yet, asking fans to join them for "one more paddle out to the surf break." Specifics on release date, story line, and cast members have not been announced, though it is assumed the core cast will remain for the final season.
Netflix announced during the season seven reunion of "Love is Blind," that the American version of the reality show is officially returning for a season eight. The show will return Feburary 14th, 2025, the show's 5 year anniversary. The next season will focus on couples in Minnesota, and the first three announced contestants reside in Minneapolis.
Netflix has renewed Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft for a second season of adventure, with showrunner Tasha Huo promising more character evolution as she learns to embrace the team built around her in Season 1 as they set out to retrieve stolen African Orisha masks that "contain dark secrets and a power that defies logic."
Paramount+ and Showtime have renewed "Chi" for a seventh season after its successful season six run. Chi follows various coming of age and lifestyle stories in Chicago's South Side. It's meant to capture the nuances of neighborhoods there as well as the experience of being a Black American. The storylines include the growing up of Jake Taylor, played by Michael Epps, who started the show as a preteen, as well as characters in their young adult life and adulthood. Season seven will continue everyone's complicated, emotional stories.
With its season three premiere approaching, Amazon Prime has renewed its "Legend of Vox Machina" for a fourth season. The show follows unlikely matched heros who try to save their world Exandria. Season three will address how the group battles against Chroma Conclave. Laura Bailey, Taliesen Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O'Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham will remain on for for the fourth season and also continue being producers.
Ahead of its December season six release, Netflix has renewed "Virgin River" for a seventh season. This renewal marks history, as "Virgin River" is now Netflix's longest running originally-scripted genre. Fans have fallen in love with the show that follows the story of Mel Monroe, a nurse practitioner who moves to Virgin River, California and creates a found family as well as a relationship with bartender Jack Sheridan. Season six follows preparations for the pair's wedding and the actual big day. The storyline for season seven has not been announced.
Netflix's highly awarded "Beef" has been renewed for a season two. Season two's story line will be separate from season one, and the cast includes Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny. The storyline follows a young couple that witness an argument between their boss and his wife, which results in them getting wrapped up in a Korean billionaire and his country club. The thrilling story will span over eight 30 minute episodes.

The preview impacted the Fast National L+SD Nielsen ratings because it was the biggest audience for a non-post-Super Bowl series premiere in five and a half years. The show follows Madeline Matlock, played by Cathy Bates, a lawyer who reenters the workforce and uses unqiue tactics to win cases while keeping a secret of her own.
Spongebob's best bud, Patrick Star, just got his show renewed for two more seasons. "The Patrick Star Show" will officially have a season four and five, each 13 episodes long. This announcement comes after the 26 episode second season was broken in half to create a season three in March 2022. This spin off follows Patrick and his family as they get themselves into various shenanigans, disruptions, and imaginative phenomenons.
Season one is still in production, but Paramount+ has already renewed "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" for a second season. With this same announcement at New York Comicon, it was also revealed that Tatiana Maslany will join the cast for season one, but season two cast details are still unknown. The "Star Trek" spin off will follow a new age of cadets as they grow in the galaxy. Adult Swim cannot get enough of "Rick & Morty." Season 8 is set to premeier in 2025, and last year, it was announced that the show had been renewed up to season 10. Fans don't have to worry about the show ending anytime soon because it's just been renewed for seasons 11 and 12, meaning the adult animation will have shows up until 2029 at least. The situational comedy follows Rick, a sociopathic sci-fi scientist, that shows up on his daughter's door step after 20 years and moves in with her. He transforms her garage into a lab and takes his grandson Morty on adventures across different realms and universes.
After only one season, AMC+'s "Parish" has been canceled. The show starred Giancarlo Esposito who played Gracian Parish. Parish watched his life fall apart when his son was brutally murdered and his luxury car business collapses. An encounter with an old colleague sends him into multiple violent and criminal conflicts, including with New Orleans-based Zimbabwean gangster The Horse who is played by Zackary Momoh. Season 1 will continue to be available for screening despite its cancelation.
For the first time since 2021, "Project Runway" is returning and it is moving from Bravo to Freeform. The 21st season will have 10 episodes and aired weekly in 2025. The episodes will also become available on Hulu and Disney+ after the live showings. Freeform has yet to annouce any information about the casts, including the hosts and judges.

Rob Lowe's real life son John Owen Lowe played the entrepernuer's son who tried to help save his company. Despite two seasons, the show had low ratings, not showing up in external or internal streaming rankings.
The instant Netflix romantic hit "Nobody Wants This" has officially been renewed for a second season. The series follows the unlikely pairing of an agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single Jewish rabbi as their relationship faces the test of differing opinions and meddling families. Season 2 is set to premiere in 2025.

Netflix is not wasting time as the cast and crew are already in production in London and New York. The series follows a newly appointed UK ambassador who happens to be married to a top politician. After two seasons, Starz's "The Serpent Queen" has been canceled. Starz reported this was not an easy decision, as they were content with the Season 2 finale and proud of the show that followed the French queen Catherine de Medici as she battled to gain control in a era of political turmoil.
After 2 seasons, Max has announced that the adult animated series Velma has been canceled. The series starred Mindy Kaling who voiced Velma as the stories revolved around her adventures before the Scooby Doo gang. Max released in a statement, "While we won’t be moving forward with another season of the series, we thank them [Mindy Kaling and Charlie Grnady] for their compelling coming-of-age storytelling, unrivaled clues, and hilarious hijinks.”
With Season 3 coming in 2025, Amazon Prime's "Reacher" has already been renewed for a fourth season. The show's second season was the 2023's most viewed release on Prime. The action series will continue its suspense into the third season as Reacher takes on an undercover mission to rescue an informant who is held captive by a previous enemy. The series is based on the books by Lee Childs, and the novelist will continue to help produce the third and fourth season.
After only one season, Netflix's original series Kaos starring Jeff Goldblum as Zeus has been canceled. While the show remained in the streamer's Top 10 for four weeks, the numbers weren't great in comparison to renewed shows. In a since-deleted post, star Aurora Perrineau confirmed the cancelation and said, "Well… this one hurts ... Thanks for letting me be your Riddy. I had the time of my life."
With Season 2 set to air in Winter 2025, Netflix's The Night Agent has already been renewed for a Season 3. The 10-episode third season will begin filming in Instanbul at the end of the year and then move to New York in early 2025.
As QVC tries to expand its content, the shopping giant has renewed its late night talk series for a second season on QVC+. Starring Busy Phillips, the personality hosts a variety of guests including Tina Fey. Phillips and her guests participate in a variety of games and challenges, and casually wrap in shopping elements for viewes.
Netflix canceled That '90s Show after two seasons, star Kurtwood Smith confirmed on Instagram. "I have tough news ... Netflix will not be renewing," he wrote. "Thanks for letting Red and Kitty, their grandkid, all their grandkids friends and neighbors, the original cast members of That 70’s Show and all of our wonderful guest cast members entertain you for two seasons. To steal Red Forman’s words … we aren't going to be dumbasses .. we will shop the show, because good grandparents would try hard to get these kids graduated from high school."
