Apple TV+ has finally renewed Ted Lasso for a fourth season, with Jason Sudeikis reprising his role. While appearing on Jason and Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, Sudeikis confirmed the season is being written now, teasing, "Ted’s coaching a women's team." It's unclear who else will return.
BET has renewed Tyler Perry's Sistas for a ninth season that is set to premiere July 16th. The show follows a friend group as they go through different high and lows in their personal, professional and social life. Season nine will pick up from the season eight finale which will address Andi and Robin's conflict, Sabrina's love life, Danni's lawsuit and Karen and Fatima's relationship.
Netflix has renewed Beauty in Black for a second season. The Tyler Perry creation follows Kimmie who is struggling to remain afloat after her mother kicks her out and becomes involved in stripping. Her life crosses with the very successful Mallory, and their stories come together as Kimmie discovers the foundation of a sex trafficking ring and attempts to find her kidnapped sister.
Landman has been renewed for a second season by Paramount+. When the first episode released in November 2024, the drama series had the largest premiere in the last two years for the streaming service. The show follows different wealth levels of the oil industry and poses the characters and conflicts as a modern day goldrush in the United States. Originally based off the podcast Boomtown, plot nor release details have been disclosed for the next season.
