From director Sarah Polley, "Women Talking" stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand. The film is based on the book by Miriam Toews and takes place in a fictional Mennonite community that has seen the women victimized, raped and drugged for half a decade. The perpetrators of the violence are under arrest and the remaining men have left the community to post bail. In the absence of the men, the women debate whether to forgive their abusers as the male leaders demand. "Women Talking" will release in select theaters December 2 and then nationwide December 25.
