There was a shocking elimination tonight on "American Idol" -- driving home the point that nobody is ever safe on this show!
Early favorite Pia Toscano was booted from the competition after her performance of "River Deep, Mountain High" on Wednesday for the show's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame night.
All three judges were beyond surprised by the voting, with Jennifer Lopez telling her "I'm shocked, I'm angry, I don't even know what to say."
Next week the remaining contestants will sing movie songs.
