Every day there seems to be a new celebrity death rumor making rounds on the internet, but this one definitely scared us the most -- Boo, "The World's Cutest Dog," died?!
The horrible hoax spread on Twitter Wednesday evening, with stories that the adorable Pomeranian had died in his sleep or drowned in a duck pond. There were even faked pictures, all trending with the hashtag #RIPboo.
The 6-year-old pup's owner quickly addressed the rumors on Boo's Facebook page, saying "hi friends! i heard the rumors, and i would like all my friends to know that i am happy and kickin'! i asked human if i could do a press conference to reassure everyone on camera, but she reminded me that i can't talk."
Boo isn't the first celebrity to fall prey to the internet death hoax. Usher, Lady Gaga, Jeff Goldblum, Tom Hanks and more have all been "killed off" on the web.
