Bald is beautiful for Kellie Pickler.
The "American Idol" alum debuted her buzzed head this morning on "Good Morning America" -- appearing alongside also-bald BFF Summer Holt Miller, who was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
The two both shaved their hair off yesterday in Nashville to raise awareness for the importance of early detection.
“Cancer does not discriminate,” Pickler said on GMA. “If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it,” Miller added.
"It's been a great life-changing day," Pickler posted on her Twitter yesterday after cutting off all her hair.
Kellie is working with Athena water, the bottled water company that was initially created by cancer survivor Trish May to raise money for cancer research and awareness.
